I was jobless since the start of the pandemic until my first job started in August this year. I went to two different interview/test on the same day. Got a preliminary offer from one and pending status for the next stage from the other. So I accepted the first one even though the 2nd one was more attractive for me in all categories except the salary LOL. After 1.5 month I found out there was a miscommunication in the way HR explained to me the salary and it turns out the salary is actually much lower because nothing was in a written form. This coincided nicely with the 2nd company’s last stage of recruitment process and job offer :) So I quit the first one and started the new one few days ago and I’m very happy about all aspects so far. The funny thing both offices are within 1-2 kms away from each other. The point is, don’t think that loyalty is the most important in corporate world and it’s fair to prioritize one’s own needs and values first.
