Anyway, today a new feature was released: in-game shop where you can buy upgrade tokens and membership (more on this later) card with AEXP token that's gonna be listed on #Alcor by the end of this week. Result? 1 MILLION AEXP was used by the collectors already to buy things. Now compare this use-case to the use case of AETHER. And the fu,king game hasn't even launched yet!

I saw that but just briefly... and at first I found the packs, cards a little bit expensive... but as you say ... it might be worth it...
I think the packs have never been really expensive yet! Compare them to Nova Rally and Green Rabbit prices (on secondary). The real spike may happen once the game goes live in about 3 weeks

It was much more expensive before. You buy NFTs of the participating collections to have PP (Power Points). You need them to equip your character. In addition if you have 500+ PP, it starts to generate passive AEXP - the ingame token. With AEXP you can buy (also with WAX from secondary) upgrade tokens to level up your characters and equiopment. Waxarena's Contender NFTs are some of the best wax / PP rate providers.
