This thing you see in the photo is pivot (pivot lands). It's how they name the system and the land it's used at (as can be seen in 2nd image). Basically it moves slowly on it's pivot point which is in the centre of the field. Usually pivot lands are used for research and development purposes such as testing different seeds.

Yes. It's cotton fields. But the system can be used for other crop too

I've seen quite a few in use for spraying fertilizers as well. They come in different sizes but this one looks really gigantic.
