Depending on number of social media followers to win an election

Hello beautiful people!

A very beautiful day to you, I wish you the best of the day. I couldn't sleep yesterday's night because my immediate younger brother was admitted to the hospital, though the case was serious but it was calm towards evening after medication. I was awake till 3:00am, not that I was looking out for him, the mosquitoes in the hospital were so healthy and fresh, I was awake killing mosquitoes 😳.

How well do you trust your social Media followers?

Talking about the social media world, a lot of people so much trust their fans/followers due to the sweet words they always pour on comment sections, some are delighted so well too with how their fans create battle, fight and win it for them. A typical example is the FC fanbase(Wizkid Fans) and OBO(Davido fan base). I'm not saying that the celebrities involved derive joy(maybe yes though), but all I know is that the battle line between fans of celebrities are top-notch. What about CR7 and Messi fans? Should I a spark up a battle right now here and see people jumping on it? Lol.🤣

No doubt, with the way people Vibe for their celebrities, they can go a long way to support them.

But do we expect help from our fans when we are in need?

Honestly, it's when you're in need that you'll happen to know that among your millions of fanbase, it's just 1,000 that cares for you down to heart.

That's when you'll find out that not all your followers are following you for love sake but to just follow trend, to get a quick info on your happenings and always ready to dish out awful comments when you're down or when you go Gaga.

Typical examples of this are as follows;

President of our nation: 80% of his followers are just there to dare him and counter his post. I wonder how he's surviving with comments on his post, because they drag this man on Twitter as a commoner...not minding his position as the senior citizen 🤦.

Cross dressers: Oh! This is always shocking to me, how these people have large number of followers but the truth is that, 90% of their followers are just there to catch cruise and drag them as well.

Celebrity pastors: This sounds Funny but we have a lot of them in my country. Their followers are not following them to gain sermons or be blessed spiritually but just to catch cruise when he/she is trending.

A politician is depending on her large social media followers to win election.

I came across this news this early morning about a well known female actress contesting for governorship (deputy Governor) of Lagos State. While interviewing her, She made a boast on the number of social media followers and if all happens to support her, that means she'll win. This lady is no doubt vher popular in the movie industry...Funke Akindele. On

I busted into laughter when I saw the post wtf! What's pushing her to think this way? OMG!

She thinks all her followers love her: Just like I stated earlier, she'll be shocked to see that most of her followers are just mere followers and nothing more. This lady is damn good in her acting career and she has won the heart of many but that doesn't mean she'd be supported politically.

Incase she doesn't know, not all her followers are in Lagos State and in Nigeria, you only vote at the state you reside. Funny enough too, not all her fans are Nigerians, some of them are in other countries like Ghana, and other white countries.

I remember a post I saw on Facebook some months ago about a lady that has millions of followers on tiktok, she decided to organize a mini party for meet up between she and her fans but shockingly no one showed up. Heartbreak!

Sorry to say this but the most foolish thing to do is to depend on your social Media followers for support. They'll turn you down boldly in your face and mock you.
