We rise by lifting others

My favorite African artist right now who is also Nigerian which makes me so proud has a popular saying which is the topic for today’s discussion that goes :-“we rise by lifting others”.
Truth he told I love this saying and I think I understand it.
In life Some people prefer to be referred to as the one and only or the only one on top of the food-chain leaving other to always ask them for stuff for some other people they love it when they help others become something better in life.
It is a typical case of giving fish and teaching someone how to fish.
For most people that know Davido ( the Nigerian artist whose real name is David Adeleke) they know that he is a philanthropist. He loves to share with everyone and honestly that is one thing I love so much about him.
Sometime this year he did something that marveled the world. He asked all his wealthy friends, some in the music industry others in the business world to send him 1 million naira each. And before it was 24 hours she already had over 200 million naira in the account he created just for this movement( the whole knew the amount because he posted it every step of the way).
At the end of the day the total amount he gathered was over 250 million he added even more money to that and gave it out to orphanages around the country. I was able to deduce two things from that act.
When you are a person that is able to give to others without expecting from them people would always turn-up for you when you call on them. Check it ….
If davido wasn’t a person who gave to a lot of people in their time of need when he called out people to send that money to him; a lot of them would have ignored him ; but no that wasn’t the case. People came out to support and show love to him because of the kind of person he is.
A person who gives freely is always a blessed person. Davido gathered all that money only to give it out to help more people. One thing is guaranteed he is going to get blessed in 100 folds for this selfless act. I am sure of it.
In conclusion, we as a people can rise by lifting each other because what we don’t realize is when we come together and help each other we are a stronger force but when we are separated from each other we grow weaker.
If you lift a person today who knows tomorrow they might be in the position to lift your child or your grandchild and think of it; if we can all have this mentality of lifting each other just imagine the endless possibilities the world would enjoy. It would just be so wonderful and great.
Thank you for your time this is all I have for you today. Also I want to use this opportunity to celebrate the greatest footballer to ever play the sport on scoring his first hatrick since his return to the premiers league.
He now has the record for the most goals in competitive football history 807 international goals for club and country. Exceptional!!!

It was actually a very smart step giving all the money to orphanage homes but of all I learnt, he doesn't keep things to himself when he can help others and that's something our leaders need to emulate
