Man is God’s idea

Hello beloved I’d admit that it’s been a while since I did my regular Sunday special and for that I am sorry. Let’s just say I have been doing some soul searching this past week and even though I am still on that journey I am feeling better than I have felt in weeks.

Well enough about me, how about you? How did your day go? Did you go to church today?.

Let me share a little of the message from church today like I always do ..

Man is God’s idea

Have you ever asked yourself why sometimes God shows love to us in our darkest moment or in times when we feel like we have nothing left.. well the minister today helped me to understand that God sees our potential and all the possibilities of we doing something great with our lives.

One thing I learnt today that would follow me for the rest of my life is the fact that GOD is not morally conscious like man. He goes way beyond the way we think and judge things…

Take for example Moses who killed a man while fighting for the oppression of the Israelites. Man wouldn’t even think anything good can come out from a murder like that If asked, but you know who doesn’t follow that logic ? GOD ALMIGHTY.

God sees the potential in the salvation of a man rather than judgement. When he wants to use a person he doesn’t look at how perfect you are or your past records he just does his will. Ask yourself this if God was only looking for perfect; you know like people who haven’t sinned before or those who are the most righteous to use .. do you think his only begotten son would come from Joseph?.

How about Moses who has murdered someone ..do you think that is the kind of person he would have chose to lead his people to the promise land?. Again I put this to you no matter what you might have gone through in the past always have it in the back of your mind that God sees be beyond your flaws. He sees potential and possibilities when he looks at you. You aren’t just a mere creature you are created in his image.

Those seeking to save ; The image of God

You see I feel like God loved David and called him a man after his heart for so many reason but one of them is the fact that David was always seeking to save. He fought so many dangerous animals in the wilderness just to keep his sheep safe with the protection of God of course.

Moses was also seeking to save people from the oppressor when he fought which is why God looked and saw him worthy of leading his people.

That tells me something those who seek to save are moving in the image of God. Like I said with the topic man is God’s idea . Which means after God created the earth and all that is in it he decided to create something that he could put in charge and guess what He didn’t look too far he created us from his image which means who ever is acting to save is moving in the image of God. Why? Because God is always willing to save us from all the mess we put ourselves in.

We need to understand that we are made in the image of the God and once we have this understanding it will help to be careful the kind of things we say about ourselves in the spirit. We need to be careful the way we go about being unnecessarily mean to ourselves because believe me it goes beyond the physical. That is why understanding the fact that we are a reflection of Gods image on earth would help us lead a better life also help us to understand that the image of God is a core part of our identity, our resourceful thinking and that with the image of God in our lives everything and anything is possible.

In conclusion

We are God’s children and just like our earthly father and mother we share a resemblance to him. So let’s learn to embrace the light that comes with moving in the image of the God because truly it is in light that we are made and in light we will grow.
