[ a poem by julsijuls ] The boat was shaky and creaking and so the captain told me to sit but i remained kneeling gripping tight on the boat's edge face inches away from the water and I dipped my head until I couldn't breathe until a hand caressed my cheek as cold as the sea. And then I was falling— full body in the water and my ears couldn't hear and lips couldn't speak. My lungs, they seized. The last of my breath turned into bubbles escaping through the surface But the hand still cups my cheek and it tells me stay and so i did. #poem #poetry #original #writing #Julsijuls Image from https://pin.it/79Bv0ex
