The start of my October is both satisfying and tiring. I read more pages than I have in the past week, did laundry, mopped the floor, edited a paper that I'll print out, and then some other mini tasks. Usually I do the laundry and mopping separately as to not exhaust myself that much, one big tiring task a day. So, today felt like a giant workout for me; the tasks made me all sweaty and thirsty. I drank so much water and I think all of it came out of my skin. I haven't peed…

I drank coffee, so now I am too awake and studying Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) for fun. Let me share what I learned! I first heard of this condition from The Pitt, and it got me wondering how bad it really is. DKA happens when our bloodstream is flooded with too many ketones. This occurs when your body burns fat instead of glucose, which is our main source of energy. But what's so bad about burning fat? Well, normally it's fine, it even helps you lose weight. When I was still working in marketing, tarpaulins and signages are often the things i used to just walk past, to becoming the things i have to stare and study for a minute or two to see how the elements are arranged. I used to just glance at them and take in the message it aims to deliver, but marketing has influenced me to look at a design and think more. Was the spacing done properly? Do the fonts not strain the eyes? Are the colors giving the right mood to match the…

"This party is nice, I rarely go out." I can imagine myself telling this to anyone who might start a conversation by asking how do I find the party. Then the story as to why is the case, will depend on the questions this person will ask. Heavily depending on how they build the question "how come?" If they ask whether was I not permitted, or do I not like parties, or am I a hermit--I have answers to all of these questions! The intro and body of the stories are varying, but…

An unpopular opinion I hold: To acknowledge the best effort poured in making a project/work does not mean accepting the work. Many would rather take a substandard project/work in order to protect the feelings of the person who has done their best in creating it. An essay is needed, someone creates it, but it lacks proper structure and one couldn't tell where the writer is going. But they did their best, so let's accept it. I asked for a soft, moist, cake. I got a cake that…

There's a quote that says, "An idiot in motion will go father than a genius at rest." I am not saying that I am a genius, nor do I claim I am genius, but the message speaks to me. To my own experience, this translates to, "someone who is unsure of the steps, scared, and worried of what others will say, and yet still chooses to move forward and learn along the way, is better than someone who plans of a million things and getting stuck in their head." I am guilty of being a…
