Seventy Times Seven

When our Lord Jesus Christ was asked how long can one offend us ,before we can revenge , He answered seventy Times Seven. Doing the math , we will discover that the product is far huge , that it won't be easy for one to offend us up to that level. Thus , Our Lord Jesus Christ was indirectly telling us that we must always forgive our neighbor , irrespective of how long he has offended us. The fact is that forgiveness is not what we do for others alone , we also do it for ourselves , that we may move on. Secondly , in our Lord's prayer , we say forgive us our sins ,as we forgive those who forgives those who trespasses against us. By this it means , that we have to forgive others first , before we ask for God to forgive us our sins. Happy Sunday to you all.
