Proverbs and thought (Popular knowledge) "Today is the only true time." German proverb Time is something that we all think we have, but that we don't quite understand. Yes, the here and now are intertwined in such a way that it determines our existence in an eternal present. In this sense, the short German saying contains a truth that from our perspectives is impossible to refute. Who has gone back to the past or gone to the future?
