Every time I was given a raise, the person in the human talent department would tell me, "Remember, you shouldn't tell anyone about the raise." Well, keeping a secret is not lying. But there is always the indiscreet partner who pesters you with the question. You lie or shut up. If it were a child, he would immediately answer how much the increase was, and I imagine that the madman would go further and criticize the corporate confidentiality policy. Children are reprimanded, and madmen are locked up when they unreservedly shout unusual truths to the world. The world needs more people with children's souls and crazy voices.
