Proverbs and thought (Popular wisdom) "There are people who are like clocks that show one hour and strike another." Danish proverb For a long time, I was a watch enthusiast. So, tucked away in some drawer are beautiful devices, automatic and digital, for measuring time. Also, in some homes, they still have wind-up clocks hanging on the wall or standing. In my house, there are both. It's a pity that the grandfather clock never worked, I bought it second-hand, and it never started. At least it's a beautiful decorative piece. Clocks are supposed to be precision pieces that help us synchronize or coordinate our activities, and although it's rare nowadays that it behaves as the Danish saying goes, it does happen. Now, it seems that the world abounds with this type of person, who is dissonant in relation to what they think, say, and do. In fact, one often behaves this way oneself, when evaluating our own history. In any case, the crux of the matter is that one should strive to maintain congruence at all times. Of course, without forgetting that every moment is an opportunity to become a better person. On the other hand, returning to the passion for watchmaking, I now prefer to be guided by my natural watch based on an orientation to achieve my purpose in life. And you, what watch do you wear? #proverbs #thinking #wisdom #congruence Good morning to all from South America. Have a great day wherever you are. Image by Lee Chandler on Pixabay
