It’s Getting Slimy in Here

I know that most of us here are already "tita" aunts, or what we commonly call "titang ina". We, aunts, serve as second parents to our siblings' kids, and it is also our responsibility to take care of our nieces and nephews if their parents aren’t around to look out for them.

I am even sometimes the headmaster of doing silly things and then they’ll copy me, especially when I am in a good mood to play with them, but I am not going to lie, most of the time I am in a bad mood. lol.

I know you guys are familiar with slimes that are mostly played by kids and even adults as they serve as stress balls. If you guys aren’t familiar with slimes,

Slime is a soft and stretchy gooey mixture of different substances, and it is a common toy for kids.

So, my nephews are so fond of slimes and I always saw them watching YouTube videos about how to make slimes and kids playing with slimes, and they really wanted to have one and be able to play with it. While I was scrolling through my Shopee account looking for something that caught my eye, and by the way, yes, I downloaded my Shopee app for the nth time. And if you read my "Never-ending Shopee's install and uninstall cycle," you'll understand why my Shopee account wouldn't stay on my phone for long, lol.

So while I was scrolling through my shopping app, I bumped into a slime product, and it really looks so cute and satisfying. Then my niece sat next to me. She saw what I was looking at and, with a shocked face, she shouted "slimes!" and that caught the attention of my nephews, who were playing outside. They ran towards me and looked at my phone. Then, with a puppy eye, they all looked at me and asked me if I was going to buy the product. But I said that I was just looking at it and didn’t have any plans to buy it. They kept telling me to buy the slime, and I know that they won’t stop until I click the add to cart button and click "place order."

I ended up buying four different colors, and they just arrived yesterday. Before that, I had three parcels coming on their way, and they were the ones who I always assigned to get the parcel from the rider because I hate going out of the house. Every time a parcel arrives, they will excitedly ask me if it is already the slime that they have ordered. Even if it’s a phone call, they will excitedly hand me my phone because they know that no one would call from my phone unless it’s the j&t rider.

When it finally arrived yesterday, these kids were so excited to open the box. They were giggling and shouting as if we were unboxing a treasure chest with thousands of gold inside. I'm so happy that all of the things that I ordered are complete and I received all four of them. We then opened one of the slimes in the colour orange, which is mine, and yes, I also ordered one for myself because slimes aren’t just for kids; I also want to play with them too! LOL. I mean, they are so satisfying to play with, especially when you squeeze them in your hands. It’s so relaxing.

I was the one who mixed it first, and I let them watch me so they could learn how to mix slime properly. I poured a bottle of slime glue and then added a tiny drop of slime activator, and when it was starting to get sticky after I put some activator, I added the little foam balls to make it look fluffier. And you know what, it’s not just them who enjoyed playing it; me too! I didn’t regret buying some of those because they are so satisfying to play with.
