Because we have been loved by God, and because we have loved Him, His love is made perfect in us. The day of judgment will not be a day of fear for us. We will be able to boldly approach the throne of God, sure of our place with Him. We have been made like Him and we don’t have to worry about whether we belong or not. Those living a life dedicated to God can look forward to the judgment with excited anticipation, knowing that the One who has loved them best will welcome them with open, loving arms. Lord, I have loved You with my whole heart. I have sought after You and been loved by You. I have confessed Christ as Your Son with my heart and with my mouth, and I have sought to love others as You have loved me. I eagerly anticipate that day when I see Your face.
