Guard your expectations
Good afternoon guys, how are you doing today? I trust you're having a great Sunday. I hope you worshipped God with other people in the church. The first week in this year has begun today and it's time to set out to achieving all goals we set for ourself this year. I wish you a very productive week ahead.
Let's quickly run through yesterday's article before moving to today's article.
I wrote on the importance of unity yesterday. Unity is essential in life. Because in a society, unity is very essential. If you lived alone, there won't be need for unity because you're the only one to decide and execute your decisions. But as long as it exceeds one person in relation to a task or work, unity is needed as long as success is in view.
Unity can't be swept aside because it is even needed in the family. If a family lacks unity, the family will suffer great disaster because they can all be living together, but they'll be far apart from themselves emotionally. It can even lead to situations where one person will start suspecting another. This is because of the disunity in that family.
If nothing is done to ensure unity in a family, the family will suffer great troubles. It'll be hard for people to believe that they're family members.
Unity can't be found in a place where there's selfishness. When two selfish people come together to do something. They'll be thinking and fighting for what they'll gain instead of looking for how there will be mutual gain between two of them.
It takes an emotionally mature peron to bring about unity in a place. An angry man can never lead people into unity because before he knows it, he'll flare up and make people tired therefore causing disunity.
It's not easy to lead humans because every human believes they're right even in times where they're wrong. Therefore it takes a person that is emotionally intelligent and mature to lead people and cause unity.
The summary of everything can be seen in this popular adage. United we stand, divided we fall. Which remains one of the statement that transcends time.

Today I'll be writing on guarding your expectations and who you hope on.
Man is being with flaws, therefore if you think you've found a perfect person. I put it to you that you're living in Dreamland. No man is perfect. Anybody can disappoint you. You don't need to be preached to about this. You just need a little experience with man, then you'll know that man can disappoint you.
The only person that cannot disappoint you is God and that's why you're advised to trust in God and lean not on your understanding. Anyone that leans on his understanding or depends on another person is bound to experience heartbreak.
No one has the capacity of fulfilling every promises made except God. Then why do people keep getting pained because of a disappointment from someone. It is because they've not learnt to guard their expectations.
It is understandable that you expect someone to do something but to be on a safe side, you should also register in your mind that the same person cn disappoint you, if not you'll end up getting pained and heartbroken.
Guard how much you expect from people. They're not God and surely has the ability to fail you. Protect your heart from being pained.
When people expect too much from someone and later end up being disappointed, they become harsh and mean to everyone afterwards. This is a bad one to be honest. 8f you had known already that you can be disappointed, you won't expect too much. And you won't get back at every other person because someone disappointed you.
The best thing to do is to put all of your hope in God. He's the only one that can't fail.

A new year
Happy, happy New year to you. How are you all doing? It's such a great blessing to witness this year. I'm so excited for this year. My spirit is so expectant for what God will be doing in this year.
We're in the new year we've all been anticipating for. I just hope you've not entered the new year without Jesus. This is the summary of my last article in the year 2021.
I stressed on the fact that no one can walk this life successfully without a guide and the best guide is the Holy Ghost. And the Holy Ghost can only come into your life to guide you if you have Jesus as the Lord of your life.
Without Jesus as the Lord of your life, you have no access to the guidance of the Holy Ghost. It's so dangerous to think you can walk this year without the help of God.
So in everything, ensure that God guides you. He's always ready to help when you call Him.

What's the plan for this year? A lot of resolutions have been made by people concerning this year. People have determined to change a lot of things, which is expected of everyone to do.
But, this morning I'll be written on the importance of unity as we walk through this year.
Division is an enemy of progress. When people are divided against themselves, everyone starts having their own opinions which leads to everyone doing different things, and this in turn ensures that there is no progress.
Unity remains one of the long lasting way to ensure success is achieved and even faster. For success to be achieved even within a short period of time, everyone must work together in unity to ensure that the goal is achieved. If not, no matter how skillful the individuals are, no success will be achieved.
Let me give examples of how unity works. If a football player is very skillful, his skill alone cannot bring the trophy home. He needs the assistance and help of his other teamsmates in order for this gola to be achieved.
From this example you can see that unity cannot be forgotten when working. Disunity can cause setback for any person or project.
Let me quickly share another story I heard. A man had three sons. But the sons always llve in disunity. They're always themselves. They do not have anything tangible to present as the rewards for there labour because of disunity.
Their father has tried to talk to them countless times without a change. Then thier father called them into the room. H e gave everyone a stick of broom and asked them to break it. How easy that was. Three of them⁰ did that easily.
Then, he gave them a bunck and asked them to break. It was difficult for them to do no matter how much they tried to.
The father now used this broom to tell them of how much unity can cause.
I trust that from the story you already know the importance of unity.

Who is following you to the new year?
Good morning guys, how are you doing today? I trust that you're doing very fine. 365 out of 365 days by the mercies of God. It's by God's mercy and grace, we're alive to see today. I'm so excited and grateful to the Almighty God. Looking back at how far He has kept me, my family and friends till this day. Everything in me is so grateful to God. One thing I'm also grateful for is growth and access to information and opportunity, also the ability and resources to make use of those information and opportunity.
I've been unable to write for 2 days now because I've been busy. I wrote that I went for retreat in preparation for the new year. The retreat was awesome and great. I'm going into next year with great power and presence of God.
Let me quickly do a review of my last article. I wrote on the importance of competency.
I defined competency as the ability to meet required and expected desires as regards to a particular subject or matter.
Competency is what differentiates everyone. It is evident that there are many talented and skillful people. But what differentiates them is the level of their competency. Their ability to meet the desired level of excellence.
I gave an example of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. They're undoubtedly the beat footballers in the world for a great while now. This is because of their competency in their craft. They've shown what they can achieve over the years. They've achieved a lot and it's clear before everyone.
Competency is the reward to repeated practice and consistency over a period of time. Competency is very essential for anyone that hopes to be successful in life because the successful people we see today are very competent people. They've built themselves with habits and systems that have made them who they are today.
If you have any plans of going to the top in anything you do, you must know that competency is a very essential quality you must have. One example I gave was that of someone like a mechanic that repair cars. When he repair cars with ease and with speed, you might feel like it is a very easy task. But that's just because he has become competent over what he does.
Who pays for what you do determines how rich you'll be and what determines who pays you is your level of competency.
The summary of everything is that you should ensure that you do everything in your power so you'll be competent.

This morning I have a very important question to ask you. My question is that, will you enter the next year without having Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior?
It won't be nice or okay for you to enter the next year without Jesus. We all celebrated His birth, but some of us still don't have Him as our Lord and savior. Some of us have heard lr read articles that this my article is saying countless times. You've overlooked it. Why do you keep overlooking a very important aspect of your life.
Your earthly relevance and eternal destiny relies on Jesus Christ. He is the only way to the Father. You need Jesus more than you can imagine. He's the essence of living. In Him, do we find purpose and fulfilment.
There's a void in man that only God can fill. No other thing has the potency of filling that void. Only God can. And the way for God to fill that void is by Jesus being your Lord.
This year has been filled different things, but I implore you not to enter the next year without Jesus. Please, accept Him. He loves you than you can imagine. He's waiting for you.

Be competent
Good day guys, how is today going for you? How are the holidays? I'm sure you're having a great time.
It's been a great time at the youth retreat. I've been blessed by every time I spent here. Thank God I came for the program. I hope I'm able to meet up and write articles for the remaining days here.
Let me quickly do a review of yesterday's article.
Yesterday, I wrote about my preparations towards the new year. You know there's a saying that goes like this, if you fail to plan, you're planning to fail.
It is important that we plan the next year before entering into it. It take time to plan because you have to think of the things you wish to do, have or get done in your life. Planning is not something you can do in a rush. That's why it's advisable to always plan ahead because it gives an edge over those that do not plan. The time time they use in thinking of what to do, you'll already start executing the things you need to do because you've given yourself enough direction to guide you.
In one of my older articles, I wrote about how to get the most from planning. There are different types of goals, there yearly goals, monthly goals, weekly and even daily, there are even goals that are for 5 years duration. But what determines if those long term goals will be achieved are the short term goals like daily goals. They add up to ensure that your yearly or monthly goals are achieved. So to achieve your goals, you must ensure that you're articulate enough to understand how to get it done.
I write four things I've and I'm doing in preparation for the new year.
Firstly, I'm already praying ahead for the new year. I'm already committing the new year into God's hands. God should be first in all things. He's our source and will ever be. You to can pray where you are for the new year.
Secondly, I've started writing down my goals and objectives for the next year. It's best to write it down. It keeps on your feet instead of just having it in your head.
Thirdly, have a plan that'll help you to fulfill that yearly. You should know how you work, so it will help know and formulate a way to achieve the yearly goal.
Fourthly, evaluate where you failed to know what caused the failure so you won't make the same mistakes next year.

Today's article will be on being competent.
Competency is what everybody planning to be successful or the best in a particular are of life should have. What is being competent,? It is the ability to fulfill or meet expected desired or requirements for a particular subject.
When a lot of talented people are gathered, what differentiates them is their level of competency. And competency doesn't come by magic. It's a product of hours of practice and repeated learning. It's a sum total of sacrifices made by that individual into knowing and understanding that particular thing.
Let me give the example of someone that repair cars. Let's say you have a flat tyre, if you try to do it yourself, it'll take more time than someone who repairs car. The reason for that is the level of competency. Because he's used to doing this smae thing ever and over again. He has become competent enough that he knows the shortcut to get it done and even better than you that uses a long time.
All successful people are competent, they've built structures and habits that has helped them over the years to gain mastery over a thing.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the two best footballers in the world for some years now because they added hardwork, consistency and practice to their talent. It'll remain in the history books that these great men played the game football.
Competency will one day separate you from every other person. So it's best to spend the etime and energy necessary to be the best in what you do.
Someone defined luck as competency meeting with opportunity. You must be competent so that whenever the opportunity to show yourself comes, you'll be able to show the best of yourself.
I think this should be one of the things we'll take into the new year so that we'll achieve greater success than this year.

Preparing for the new year
Good day going, how are you feeling today? Happy holidays too. I hope I'm able to consistently write articles till the 30th. I'm currently at a church retreat program for youth, in preparation for the new year. It's good to commit the new year into God's hands so that He can make every crooked path straight.
Let's have a quick recap of yesterday's article. I wrote about people having a good impression about you.
We can't control what people think of us, but we can give them what to think about. Most times, we hear people talk and encourage people not to care about what people think of them. This is a good one but without the right balance where necessary, it may become disastrous because you now stay living carelessly, talking and relating with people carelessly because you don't care what they think of you.
The society has been created to be a communal one, whereby we need everyone. You've heard people say something like, it's a small world. The world is large but your world is a small world. Your world is small such that there are people you should meet are not necessarily going to be that much. People have been assigned to different times in your life. Not everyone will be a major factor in your life but there are people that are major factors in your life. Nobody knows who these people are, only God knows those people. Therefore, the best thing to do is to have the best of character towards everybody.
It might not look it matter now, but a day will come when it will matter. Several stories of how someone's life changed because of a positive review from another concerning that person.
Of what use is it when, everyone you've met don't have anything good to talk about you. And sincerely, there are people like that. They're almost in everyone's bad book because they've failed to put into consideration how they behave to people. They act like they won't at anytime need them again in life.
It takes nothing away from you if you act in a very good way to everyone you meet. It is known that you can't satisfy everyone's expectations from you, but there is a food way to behave that'll make people have no choice but have a good review of you.
The summary of everything is that we should try our best to good to everyone so that if any need be for anyone to give a review of us, it'll be a good one.

I'll be writing about my own preparations for the new year.
My first preparation for the coming year is in prayers and it has began already. I said earlier at the beginning that I'm at the camp ground for a youth retreat in peep for the new year. It is good to put God first in everything we do. I'll advise that you do same. You can start where you're by just praying. You can pray anywhere.
Secondly, have goals for next year written down. When you write them down, you'll feel indebted to do them and you can even be able to go back to it incase you're distracted.
Thirdly, have a plan that'll ensure you fulfill those goals. This plan can be in form of monthly, weekly and daily objectives. This will help you to fulfill those goals as fast as possible.
Also, evaluate the places you failed this year, check for the reasons why you failed and look for possible solution to avoid such failures so it doesn't occur in the new year.

Sunday; Impression
Good day friends. How are you doing today? I'm sure you're fine. I hope you're not purging from yesterday's excess consumption of food and drinks. I'm sure most of us are tired from the stress of yesterday's celebration. Nevertheless, make sure you go to church and worship God with other Christians. Go to church to worship Jesus Christ you celebrated yesterday.
A brief recap of yesterday's article. I wrote about the essence of the birth of Jesus and how to live in reality of that . I wrote about the essence of Jesus' birth.
Through out Jesus'stay on earth. He did so many things that even the bible couldn't document everything. But the apex of the coming of Jesus was on the cross where He died for the sin of mankind and resurrected.
Celebrating Jesus without having Jesus in your life is a waste of celebration. Why celebrate His birth when the reason for His birth has not been fulfilled in your life. It's of no use to celebrate Him when you're not friends with Him. He came so you can have llife and hope of eternal life.
Someone even wrote that if you share things in celebration of Jesus birth without having Him in your, you've just done charity giving. It would be best to celebrate Jesus by giving Him your heart. I hope that you understand and celebrate Him wholly with your life in appreciation because His birth gave man hope. It opened up a new beginning for entire mankind because we could now access God without barriers.
The summary of everything is to celebrate Christ birth wholly and genuinely.

Today I'll be writing on something important. For example, if you're asked to do a review of another person. What will be your parameter of evaluating this person? I'm sure that first of all, what you'll remember will be when you and that person had any contact or conversation. Your review will first be based on how the person behaved when he came in contact with you. After then, you'll start looking at other people's perspective but before this you'd have had a review already due to the person's behavior with you.
One thing is that no one can live successfully as a lone ranger. We need others. You might know how important it is until the day it matters.
Everyday we keep hearing of how someone referred someone to another person. The reason that things like this happen is because of the impression people have made in people.
What impression do people have about you? It's known that not everyone can like you. But you can be so good to everyone that even people who don't like can still attest to the fact that you're a good person.
Some people live carelessly, they always act like they don't care what people think of them. This is not a thing to copy because you should ensure that you act right to people. Just make sure you do your best to be good to everyone. It may matter one day. And on the day it matters, it'll be the good you've done at one time that might be your edge over others.

A quick recap of yesterday's article. I wrote about giving more than receiving. It is known that people love to recieve. It's a normal part of the human nature.
I know that so much of giving and receiving must have occurred today because it's Christmas day, like the normal culture is. Some houses are filled with guests because they've come to celebrate with you.
It is known that it's more blessed to give than to receive. As much as we receive from people today, we should ensure to give and keep giving. But in your giving, give within your power and means. Don't give to show that you can give more than another person whereas at the end, you'll regret.
Give as your means allows you but the goal is to liberal and not stingy in this season. One thing I'll love that we should carry on with us into the new year is the habit of giving. There's an adage that says that givers never light. It is a general principle that works for everyone that engages it.
Ensure you genuinely make someone happy today.

Since today is Christmas, I'll be writing just something little on Christmas.
The significance of Christmas can be debated over. His birth marked a new beginning in the history of mankind. If not for His birth, man would not have had hope of eternal life. Through Him, we can access God, who created us.
C- Can man be redeemed? Will man be free from the shackles of sin and curse he brought upon himself? Can man have hope again of living a blessed life? Will man still have the opportunity of coming to God the Father again? Who will save man from these troubles he has brought on himself?
H- How will salvation come to man? How will man access freedom from the devil? How will God deliver man from these life of pain and bondage to sin and stress? How will man access hope?
R- Referring us to His birth. This birth brought hope and life to mankind. For by Him and through Him, only can man find reason to live. We being created to God's will cannot until we allow Jesus.
I- Instead of bondage, man has recieved freedom. Man can access God now because of the birth of someone. Man can now benefit from the love of God the father.
S- Sin lost power when He was born. That's why Herod tried to kill Him. The devil knew that His birth was going to open a new chapter for the entire human race.
T- Taking up flesh so that He can save man. What a great sacrifice He has made for us to recieve salvation. He left His God state to come to the earth and save man. What kind of love He has shown to man.
M- Man should reciprocate this great love. Man should know and accept this love that the Father has given unto us. Because of this love, He has sent His only begotten son to take up this perishable body so that we can receive hope fof the future.
A- Allow the love of Jesus who came to the world abide in your heart. Allow the essence of His birth mkae meaning in your life.
S- Salvation has come to as many who have not allowed His birth be in vain. Because of the essence of His birth is not fulfilled in your life, then celebrating His birth is no use to you. You should only celebrate Him when the essence of His coming has come to reality in your life.
His coming was to bring hope, life and salvation to man. This salvation is easy to access. Just confess Him as Lord. Then, the essence of His birth has been achieved in your life.
On this note, I wish you a merry Christmas. May the essence of Christ birth be achieved in our lives. Amen

Give more than you receive
Hello guys, how are you doing today? I trust that you're having a great day. We're one day to Christmas. I'm kind of excited and not excited at the same time.
I'll quickly do a run down of yesterday's article. It was about writing your past.
Can I write my past? If I can, how can I write my past? For most people, the past is a part of our lives filled with memorable and regrettable occurrences. For some people, the memorable occurrences are more than the regrettable ones, while for some it's the other way.
Whether we like it or not the past will be formed. The past remains a part of our lives as long as we remain within the space of time. In time there's always a now, before and later. Before was previously a now. Now was before a later and will become a before. Later will become a now eventually.
The center of the discussion is on how to make our before which was previously a now a memorable one and not a regrettable one. Since we now know that we can write our past. What makes up our writing? How we behave and act now determines what our past will be. Your decisions now will either be a thing of regret or happiness later.
So the basic thing in writing your past is to ensure that you make good decisions that'll make you have a good past. Have the right behaviors and actions to others. Build the right characters. These will help you to have a past that you'll be happy to share with others. If your current past is bad, do not be disappointed, you can still do something about the past to come by doing the right things now.

Let's move to today's article.
Christmas season is a season that's known for the love, merriment and all. So much of love is being exchanged in this season.
Giving is probably the one most important aspect of a person’s life. It is something that I believe everyone needs to do to satisfy their soul. I have had the privilege of being in a position where I could give and make someone else’s life that much more better. To me giving starts with you as a person and continues with what you can give back to the community.
It would make sense to make a difference in a person’s life by doing some of the things that I have done: Giving back to the community, donating your time and talent in any way possible, helping out someone in need etc.
In giving this season, it'll be best to give more than you, because it's more blessed to give than to recieve.
As we celebrate in this season, ensure that you make someone happy. Give to people.

Can I write my past?
day guys, how are you feeling today? I trust that you're having a great day. Christmas is just 2 days away. It's a thing of great joy and I really appreciate God for the privilege of witnessing another Christmas celebration and I'm sure you're also grateful.
Let me quickly run through yesterday's article. Yesterday's article was about your past and how best it can help you.
People have the habit of running away from their past or even denying their past. It remains a fact that every human has one thing or the other they regret to have done in the time past. No one has had a smooth journey. There are things we wished we never did. It's just that the brevity of that thing differs from person to person. But for a person to come out and say boldly that he's been living a very righteous life without regrets is just a lie at arrival.
Running from your past is not the way to move forward because everytime, you live in the consciousness of that past. You're always on the lookout for anyone and anything that's related to your past just to run away from it. Running away from your past keeps you in constant bondage to that past because you have willingly allowed yourself to be controlled by that past. When you're running away from a dog for example, you're always thinking of how the dog will not catch you instead of thinking of where to go that will protect you from the dog. Running away from your past only ends up making you thinking lf the past more than the future. Instead of planning ahead for the future, you end up planning on how to run away from the past.
Another set of people are those that deny their past. One thing about your past is that, it's a truth that can't be changed because it has passed. And truth no matter how long it's denied will be made known. So why not just own up your past. Everyone one has a past. And yours won't be the last. Anyone that denies his past will later end up been a slave to that truth because when everyone will later discover the actual truth about your past, they'll now look at you like someone who has been disguising about every other thing they've known you for. Therefore, it is unnecessary to run away or deny your past. It is part of your life. It cannot determine your future, you determine your future. If you're asked about your past, don't deny. As long as your past is still not your present reality, there's no need to worry.

Today's article will still be related to the past but, it'll be in a different perspective. I'll be writing on how to write your past.
Let's assume that your past has already been written. Your past was written by you, most likely when you did not know as much as you know now. That's why your past doesn't look as you would want it to be. But you have a chance a new past for yourself. How do you do this?
Today, by next week will be your past. Tomorrow, by next week will undoubtedly be your past. If these are true and established, who determines what past you have? I'm sure you know the answer now. It is you. You determine what kind of past you'll have later in life. You'll determine what people will say concerning you.
What you do today, how you behave and relate with people are already making up your past, which will be in the future. People have the habit of living carelessly and anyhow all in the name of be yourself. In your adventure of 'do you', most people have indulged in things they'll end up regretting later in life. People live without caution, they don't mind hurting anyone all in the name of this is you. You must not forget that all you're doing now will make up your past. Therefore, apply caution to your adventure of do you.
If you must do you, make sure what you're doing won't be one of your regrets later in life.
Everyone must live with an understanding that this is what I'll be remembered for tomorrow. If we live like this, we'll be cautious of whatever we do.
Therefore, write for yourself a good past, that's the way to have a past without regrets.

Your past is part of your life
Good day guys, how are you doing today? I trust that you're having a great day. We're 3 days away from Christmas. Merry Christmas and a happy new year in advance.
Let's have a quick recap of yesterday's article. Yesterday's article was about the importance of having positive thoughts.
I've learned that when we are stressed, and have a negative thought towards someone or something, we may be creating our own adversity and situations in our own lives. When we think positive thoughts, our lives can change for the better. I've experienced this many, many times in my life.
You're a better person when your thoughts are positive. The best example I have is about a decade ago. The phone rang, and it was bad news from someone. I got so angry that the next day I was in bed with weakness because all I could think about was the pain the bad news caused. The more I thought about it, the worse the weakness got and I almost ended up in the hospital.

You’re past is part of your life. It could be your dreams, goals, problems, pains, joys, successes or failures. The point is… your past has shaped you into who you are today. Your past is something that you need to learn from and above all else, it should provide you with a source of motivation to start making choices that enable you to leave your past behind and start the journey towards the future.
You cannot be a writer and not have had a life filled with lessons. But the lessons must be learned before they can be written about. Ive been to hell and back so many times, Ive lost count. The interesting thing about that is that every time I go to bad time, I learn something totally new. That life filled with lessons is part of your past.
The past is part of our life. It cannot be avoided, changed or eradicated. You cannot change your past. The best you can do is learn from it and either build on it or let it go.
People may not want to hear what you have to say because they don't want their past used against them in some way. Sometimes it is out of envy, sometimes out of jealousy and sometimes out of pure hatred.
The past cannot be forgotten but what you make of that past is the important thing. Your past should serve as a motivation to make you a better person. We must try to make the best out of our past and not be weighed down by it.
It should be the force that pulls us closer to our dreams and aspiration.

Do unto others as you want them to do to you. We all want good things an gestures from others, but we've not taken time to ask ourselves if we had shown good gestures to others.
Most times, we're clouded with expectations of getting and collecting from others. It's normal for us to always want to be shown good gestures from others.
In this season, one of the things that is common is the act of giving gifts. Being nice and kind to others is necessary even beyond this season. We should ensure that as we celebrate, we should be good to everyone.
It doesn't matter who the person is, we should try to be good and nice to everyone. Regardless of previous times, even those that might have offended you before, try all your best to be nice and kind to everyone. I understand that as humans we cannot forget what people have done in the past to us. Nevertheless, in the season, we should ensure that we do not keep previous issues at heart which will hinder us from doing good to others as we should.
Another thing that hinders people from doing good to others is the feeling that what they want to give is little. That's a wrong thought. Nothing is too little to be given out. Most times we think something is little, but unknown to us is that it can be huge to the reciever.
The summary of everything is that we should ensure that in the spirit of celebration, we give gifts and do good to everyone no matter how little it seems and no matter who the person is.

One of the things we should drop off as we go into the new year is negative thoughts. Your mind is the control house of a person. And your mind is filled with thoughts and the thoughts you fill your heart with is what determines what you'll think of.
If something will change for us, we should change our thought process so that in turn we can turn our lives for good.
We must learn the ways to think good thoughts, we must have control over our thoughts.
Our thoughts are cultured by who we interact with. If you interact with people who exhude negativity, you would surely start being negative too. Who stay around, listen to and watch determines the things you'll think about. So, we must ensure that we drop off the wrong thoughts as we enter the new year so that we can gain progress in all we do.
Learn to think about people in the right way, be good to everyone. Just be nice and good, that's the best way for you to live and gain sufficient progress.

Happy New week. I wish you a very productive week ahead. I hope you read yesterday's article. I'll do a quick recap of yesterday's article before moving to today's own.
Yesterday's article was all about emphasizing on how not to make the Christmas celebration loose its essence.
Christmas celebration is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Everywhere around the world, people are already setting up their houses, cleaning and designing has started in so many houses because lf the celebration.
It's so great to celebrate the birth of Jesus because He came to define the essence of humanity on earth.
The birth of Jesus was just the beginning of a long journey to the salvation of man. The apex of the essence of Christ birth was seen when He died and resurrected on the third day. Jesus Christ did so many things while He was here on earth. He healed people, raised the dead, delivered the oppressed, He set the captives free from the shackles of the devil. A these are good works but He wouldn't have achieved the purpose of His coming if He had not died on the cross for the sins of men.
Jesus Christ would have just joined the list of many men that did good on earth of He didn't die and resurrected. So, we can say that the essence of His birth is found in Him fulfilling purpose which is His death and resurrection. Therefore, as we celebrate His birth, it is also relevant for us to ask if really the essence of His birth is fulfilled in our lives. This is a very vital question to ask, so that we won't be carried away with the celebration and forget the celebrant Himself. It doesn't make sense for you to go to the beer parlour and say you're celebrating the birth of Christ, it doesn't add up. So, the summary is that you make sure that your life celebrates the birth and essence of Jesus Christ.

Moving to today's article, I'll be written on something also important. It is about doing good.
It takes a good heart to do good. For you to do good to people, you have to be good yourself. As much people advocate being hard, too much of hardness is not good for you. You need have a bit of softness so that you can relate with people very well.
This season is a season of being nice and doing good to everyone, even strangers, although you have to be careful with that aspect.
We should ensure that we celebrate this season with being nice to everyone. It doesn't have to be much. Just anything can make anyone smile. Sometimes, we feel that what you want to go give is too little, then you end up not giving again. Nothing is too little to be given out. Make sure you spread love this season.
Stay around your family and ensure you have a good time with them. Spend time with friends and enjoy this season.

Sunday before Christmas
Good day guys. How are you doing today? A new week is starting off already, also we're six days from Christmas.
Let me do a fast recap of yesterday's article. I wrote about the importance of patience in life. It was actually in relation with getting wealth.
Getting wealth is good and important but how you get it is very important. That is what will make you know if your wealth is sustainable or not. Wealth that is gotten illegally doesn't last. It is so sure that the wealth cannot last because whatever you got with going through process won't last.
Process is very essential because it builds you. Someone said that you can't handle any money that is beyond your level of wisdom. What builds this wisdom is the process you've gone through. Wisdom is either gotten through instructions or experience.
It is the wisdom you have that'll determine how well you'll manage wealth that comes to you.
Getting wealth through illegal means is wrong and it will forever remain wrong. No matter how many people do it, it'll never make it right. Although, many wrong things have been become popular now, and the right things have been made to look unpopular. People have become vocal with the wrong things. We should strat by being vocal with the right things. We must make sure that the right things are made popular.
We must learn to protect our integrity by making sure we do not put our hands in things that will tarnish our image in the public. It is easy to build reputation than to rebuild it when it is tarnished. Only God gives people second chance. Many humans don't give second chance, so the best thing is to make sure that you don't do things that'll affect your reputation.
The summary of everything is that patience is necessary and we must not think of using the alternative route to success.

As my custom is, I will writing my regular sunday's sermon.
The new year is almost on us, and many of us are already setting new goals and preparing our resolutions for the new year. All these are good but we are most times concerned by our self development. I'm not against these changes. It is very important to do these because we need to change and improve every year. But beyond all these, there's a greater change that should occur in our lives.
What change I'm talking about? We most times do not make resolutions that will change our lives spiritually. Our spiritual lives are the most important aspect of our living. It determines so many things that we really might not gain a full grasp of while on earth.
As Christians, God expects us to grow spiritually. The real intents of God for all believers is not to be the richest on earth rather it is to be a potent representative of His life here on earth. We have been called to live a life that fully shows Christ. So that when men see us, they can sss that Christ is in us.
If we must attain the fullness of what God expect of us, we must intentionally decide to make changes that will cause a shift and make us look like Christ. All Christians have a mandate and that mandate is to be like Christ. And until we look like Christ, God will not satisfied. Christ pleased God on earth even unto death.
As we are planning to celebrate the birth of Christ, we must make sure we are not carried away with the celebration. Christ was born for a purpose and if that purpose is not a reality in your life, celebrating His birth is useless.
In the spirit of the season, make sure your life already is in appreciation of the birth of Christ. Because the purpose of His birth was to die and resurrect and in turn bring men to Christ. Therefore, in celebrating the birth, ensure your life speaks of Christ.

Patience in rush
Good day guys. How are you doing today? It's been a great week. I hope you had a great week too.
A quick recap of yesterday's article. I wrote about the two sides of freedom. Freedom has two sides. In enjoying freedom, there's a limit to how far you should go with being free. No matter how much you think being free is good, there's safety in being within boundaries of decisions and actions.
Discretion is needed in exploring the extents of your acclaimed freedom. In enjoying freedom, you must learn to place limits so that you won't push yourself into pain in enjoying freedom.
Various examples show how freedom can bring pain. The best thing to do is to make positive use of your freedom to improve your life. Freedom to make decisions doesn't mean you should make very wrong and dangerous decisions that could cause you harm. You should use your freedom to make good decisions. The summary of everything is that you should learn to make good use of your freedom because in exploring your freedom outside the limits will bring pain. Therefore, freedom is best enjoyed in the confines of a limit.

Today's article will be on patience. Patience will be related to the quest for wealth and success.
Everyone wants to be rich and that's a good thing. No one should desire to be poor. Anyways, in looking for money, there should be constraints in how far you should be able to go in search for money.
There are some people that don't mind doing some kind of things just to get rich. Although everyone is ffee to decide on how to get rich. This doesn't validate what is wrong. Because, forever, what is wrong will remain wrong. No matter how many people choose to do the wrong thing, this will never make the wrong thing right.
No matter how much the pressure to mkae money fast is, we should understand that it's best to get rich the legitimate means rather than the illegal way, because whether you like it or not, one day it'll matter how you made your money.
There are times that the pressure might ve much in your office, let's say you going through some lack at a moment, and an opportunity to inflate the figures of the account of the office presents itself. You might begin to start thinking of how far the money will go if you successfully inflate the figure. That it'll reduce your debt doesn't still make it right.
Life is designed to be with ups and downs, an most times the temptations to do the wrong things come when we are in the down times. It's understandable that it'll look hard not to falsify or inflate the figures, nevertheless, it is possible for you to stand your ground.
This is one of the things that builds your integrity. Because, sometimes things like this are done intentionally by someone maybe your boss, just to know what you stand for. And even if it's not a setup by anyone, you might not get away with it. Some people just can't get away with evil, that's how they're created.
Whether you get away with evil or not, what is wrong will forever remain wrong. The summary of everything is that you might not get rich overnight, sometimes patience is needed. Anything sustainable must go through process and in process, there is a place of patience.

Free or not
Good morning guys, how are you doing today? I'm sure you're fine. It's another weekend again. We're drawing closer to the new year day by day.
Quick review of yesterday's article. Yesterday's article was all about positive mindset in relation with positive words. How does positive mindset work with positive words. How does positive mindset influence or cause positive words? This was adequately addressed in yesterday's article but I'll write a little bit of what was published yesterday.
How you think affects what you say. This is universal fact. You can even prove it by using yourself as the reference. You can't talk beyond your thought level. If you always think that things are impossible, it's sure that almost everything you try to do will be impossible to do because you have concluded in your heart already that things are impossible. Same goes with possibility, some people have learnt to think of things being possible, therefore, they find out that things become possible for them to do. This is because of what they've first of all conditioned their mindset to think about, therefore it finds expression in everything they do.
Your current mindset is product of everything you've heard and seen. What you hear and see determines how your mindset will look like. If you find yourself in an environment that is filled with failures and you also constantly listen to failure stories, you'll begin to think of failure instead of the possibility of success for anything. Your mind must be guarded like your life. You must censor what you hearand see so that, your mind won't be infected with the wrong realities and thought. Because that can be very disastrous to your life. So the summary of everything was that if you want to speak positive words, your mind must first be positive because you can't speak outside of how and what you think about, besides everything we see in the world today started with just a thought or idea.

Today's article will be about freedom. Freedom has a lot of definitions. What informs the definition of freedom is the person and the situation that was before freedom. So, the definition of freedom is relative to the person defining.
I've heard people say that they want to be free to do any thing they want. Everyone has a right to freedom, and one day, everyone will access the freedom they're looking for.
If we'd b realistic, everything on earth has advantage and disadvantages. There's nothing that is good and good all through.
What I'm just saying is that freedom comes with bondage. Your freedom comes with bondage. You can't be free totally like that. For example, someone that is free to sleep around with people should be expecting that he or she could contract a disease that'll become a bondage in his supposed freedom.
Everyone wants to be free but freedom must be censored. No matter how much you think you should explore to, there should be a limit to your exploration.
Everything in this life must be censored or else, we'll enter a very destructive mode. Liverty should have a limit if not your liberty will lead you to bondage. One thing I know is that freedom to decide doesn't mean you should take destructive decisions all in the name freedom. A child that is free to go anywhere he wants might soon fall into the trap of the kidnappers. A student that is free to do anything might soon realize that even in being free to do anything, without reading, you'll ente ethe bondage of retaking courses. You must choose your freedom. Your freedom must lie within the confines of reasonable and sane decisions, so that you don't enter bondage in freedom.

Positive mind, positive words
Good day guy, how are you doing today? The week is running to an end and same as the year. Thanks to God for keeping us till this time.
I'll be doing a recap of yesterday's article before moving to today's article.
Yesterday's article was about integrity and how behavioral it is. It is easy to say things, the struggle or issues surfaces when it's time to bring it to action. It's so easy to make promises or give people assurance concerning a matter but it takes a lot to keep promises, therefore before we make promises, we should make sure it's within the boundaries of what we can deliver.
Integrity is something that is important, and it can't be gotten at once. It's a dividend of a period of being trustworthy and loyal. If we want to build integrity, it must be obvious to others that we are people of integrity. Integrity has been and still remains one of the qualities we should, if we really want to remain at the top our endeavour. It takes a lot for people to trust you. People don't just trust people, they always want make sure you're worth it. Also you need integrity because that's what will make people refer you to others but when they cannot vouch for you, they end up not having a reason to refer you to others. The summary is that we should be intentional about building our integrity because it'll matter one day. And also, if you have people that trust you already, don't do what will make them lose their trust in you.

Today's article will be on having a culture of positive words.
Everywhere we hear people talk about positivity and how good it is. Positive words are very good and essential for every one to learn to say. But before you start saying positive words, you need to have a positive mindset. Whatever you say is a report card of what your mind looks like. You can't communicate beyond what you think.
If you always think impossibility, you'll definitely speak impossibility in your words. It can't be escaped. If you always think possibility, your words will reflect possibility.
No matter the circumstance, if your mind is in the right state, you'll definitely have the right words for those situations. Your mind is like the control unit of how you react, talk and behave to situations, people and things. If you can get it right with your mind, I think a bulk of your problems have been solved. The things that will remain is for your environment to align with your mind and words.
Your words carry energy that is potent of defining your situations. If you want a good situation around you, start by working on your and move on to making good statement instead of making wrong statement that'll further worsen the situation.
Although there are situations, that'll make it looks like your words are not changing your situation, but still it's not wise enough to start saying the wrong words.
The summary of everything is that if you want to speak positive words, start by conditioning your mind to think the right things.

Integrity is more of action than talk
Hello guys, how are you doing today? I trust that you're doing great and having a great day as well.
I hope you read yesterday's article. Yesterday's article was about how God comes through at the darkest hour. God most times like to come when it looks like all hope is lost. I feel He likes that way so that we can see and feel His Majesty and power. Also, we'll really value His presence and care in our lives. It's not new that God cares and is really interested in our affairs as His children. Although there are times that makes us feel like God is not aware of what is happening or if He's aware, we ask questions on why He's not coming through despite what we're going through. I really don't know why He does that but i can say one reason He does that is to make us learn a lesson. There are different ways God teaches us. He can either teach us by instructions or experience but some lessons are best taught by experience. Also, I you're very aware, you'll notice that during those times of pain, you learnt some kind of lessons you wouldn't have learnt or you wouldn't have had a real understanding of the circumstances surrounding that pain of you had not experienced it. The summary of everything is that regardless of how hard or painful your circumstance is, God can still surprise you. He can still come through for you. He's never late. And when He comes, you'll be surprised at the way He'll show up.

Today's article will be on integrity by action. People usually say that talk is cheap. And really, talking is the easiest thing to do, but at the same time, talk can be dangerous. It's easy to make promises, but the problem comes when it is time to fulfill those promises. Integrity is key in anyone's life. Because integrity is what keeps you at the top, skill and connection can take you to the top but what determines your longevity at the top is your character and part of what makes up a good character is integrity.
Integrity is what makes people trust you. Integrity is what makes people trust your opinion and judgement on a matter. Integrity is what makes people remain calm even when everything is not adding up just because you're involved. They trust that you'd have everything settled. It's this same integrity that makes people vouch for you. There may be a time that accusations will come against you, it's your integrity that'll make people discard those accusations because they believe that you cannot do such a thing.
You cannot win people's trust by telling them to trust you. No one will even take you serious, because for people to trust you, it requires that you take actions that'll make them want to and decide to trust. Talking is not even a deciding factor in gaining trust.
For you to gain the trust of others, you'd need to work for it. In your working for it, you must be a man of your word. You must make sure that you don't go back on things you've said before. Your yes must remain yes and your no should remain no. That's the way to gain trust of people. It might take time to gain the trust but once gained, it becomes a very useful thing because by it you can be referred go others because of your integrity.
One thing you should ensure not to be a victim of is doing anything that'll make people not trust you again. When people who formerly trust you, lose trust in you, it'll be very hard if not impossible to gain their trust back. It's not an easy task to do.

God still surprises

I hope you read my yesterday's article. I wrote about jumping into conclusions and how wrong it is. It can even be dangerous because it can be the deciding factor of a person's life. A person's image can be tarnished by someone's mistake of jumping into conclusions. It can be this bad. Most times we are tempted to jump into conclusions most especially when we hear about a matter from a particular person and the person speaks a lot about that matter. Some people are skilled in painting a matter, they'll talk about a matter and paint it so we'll so that people will believe, they can even ads extras that were not part of the original issue just to make it attractive to anyone who chooses to hear. The summary of everything is that we should be careful with what we hear and who we hear. Also we should be careful about judging matters because you can misjudge because you did not have a full scope of the entire matter at hand. Also, we should learn to keep quiet when and where necessary so that we'll save ourselves and others from problems that may last longer than we imagined it'll go.

Today's article will be centered around surprises. Who is the surpriser? God is the surpriser in this context.
Personally, I have seen God work in some mysterious and unexplainable way. God has a way of coming through at times that it feels darkest. I don't know why He does it this way. I'm not saying He always wait till the darkest hour before He comes through. But if you really notice, He comes through at the time where you're almost giving up.
A verse in the bible says that though weeping may endure for the night, joy comes in the morning. From this verse, we see that weeping may endure for the night, you might find yourself weeping throughout the night, one thing is certain amd that is joy will come in the morning. And one thing is that, sad nights feel like the longest, therefore it's possible for you to give up and feel like all hope is lost because it looks long, nevertheless, joy will come in the morning and when the morning comes, the pain of the previous night instantly leaves you like nothing happened.
Everyone has different expectations. We all have different things we're asking God for and sometimes we feel like we've prayed enough and that He should have answered our prayers. You can't count the number of times you've prayed concerning this matter and you're already getting tired of praying. Do not give up. He hears your cry and will surely answer you. When He answers, you'll surprised at the extent to which He can go in answering you.
I understand the year is coming to an end and you're already saying that this request of yours will follow you to the next year. Do not give up, something is certain and that is God can come through for you before the year runs out. He's always on time and if you continue to have faith in him, He'll come through and answer your requests. Don't lose faith. God still surprises and He'll surprise you before the end of this year in Jesus name. Amen

Jumping into conclusions

My last article was about social media and how it can help and not help you. Social media makes us the most advantaged but most distracted generation.
There's so much that can be achieved by the good use of the social media and there's so much that can be destroyed by this same social media. The balance should be that we should learn for a way to make use of the social media to our own advantage. Although it takes a lot to break free especially when you're addicted to it. You can break free from too much obsession over the social media. I really liked one of the comments on the article where someone said the amount of data social media consumes was enough to keep that person from the social media. But for those that have access to free WiFi, I understand that it can be really hard, nevertheless it's possible.

Opinions are the rights of every human. Nevertheless, there are wrong opinions and right opinions. One of the easiest thing is to do is to give opinions on matters. You don't really need to be consulted before you give opinions on a particular matter. Everyone likes to give opinions, most people want to be heard, this sometimes leads them to saying the wrong things.
It's known that people tend to jump into conclusions on matter they know little or nothing about. This is very bad because it shows that you lack understanding on how to react or contribute to a particular matter.
Brent Lamb once said that 'if you can't find something good to say, say nothing at all'. This is a great saying because you really don't have to say a lot of things. Some people don't know how to keep quiet. They always want to talk. When they talk, they talk till they start saying the wrong things.
When there's an issue or misunderstanding, people are quick to judge the matters by the rumours heard from people. They already finish judging that matter without hearing from the parties that matter.
In some cases, some people just hear form one of the parties, and then jump into conclusions on that matter. It is very important to know that jumping into conclusions can be disastrous to people, relationship and even lives and properties.
For example, you conclude on a matter that determines the life of a person based on rumors or what you heard from one of the parties. You'll put the other party in trouble because you've failed to do due diligence to listening an judging rightly instead of jumping into conclusions.
When we see people go through some things, maybe problems, it's very easy to jump into conclusions and say that they caused the problems for themselves. Not everyone causes the problems they face. Some are beyond the extents of their influence. You don't control every thing that happens in your. That is some things will happen without your awareness amd also not because you did something that caused it.
So, in all things, let us try to hear before judging, also take time to listen before jumping into conclusions.

Hello amazing people. How are you all doing? I trust you are doing great. It has not been easy for me. I'm trying to learn to balance my daily activities. It takes time to learn that. I'm also learning to place priority on relevant things.
Have you been in a situation where you know that you have a lot of work at hand to do but you find yourself moving from Facebook to Instagram to Twitter, back and forth even though you have work to do.
This is where I'm now. Although I'm already learning to place priority on things. I think I've learnt to stay away from Twitter and Facebook. The only one that remains is the Instagram. It is so engulfing. You'll go like you just want to check something but you end up scrolling on your feed for hours without knowing time has gone that much.
It's such a painful thing to discover you've wasted the on Instagram while you have a lot on your hands to do. Instagram is the easiest distraction for me. Although I've heard people say that TikTok takes more of your time and can distract you more. I've not used TikTok before, and I don't plan on opening an account on TikTok because it'll be add to the list of distractions I have already which I'm trying to break free from.
It's not really easy to break free easily. As much as the social media is an advantage to this generation, it is has disadvantages which if you don't find how not to fall into those disadvantages, it'll cause you great havoc. I have tried so many methods except deleting the apps which I cannot do because there are times where you'll really need it for a productive task. Even in trying to check for that productive idea on Instagram, you can easily drift off because there are so many interesting things on Instagram. If you don't have a great level of self control. You'll end up spending 1hr instead of the 2mins you were supposed to spend.
The explore page of Instagram is the most attractive part of Instagram. Immediately you start with one video, you won't know when you would have watched 50 of that kindof videos because they're always interesting and funny. One way to halt you from watching some more videos might be when the network provider sends an alert that your data bundle remains 100mb, that's when you'll discover you've spent a while on that explore page.
One might say that a way to overcome being distracted by social media is by getting busy but it remains a fact that you can be busy but still be on the socila media like you do not have enough work on your hands. To really loosen from the social media, you need dGod to help you. Also you need to start by reducing your time on the social media gradually, little by little you'll see that you're breaking free already.
All these is not to talk down on the social media. I'm just sharing my challenges with the social media. I'll love if you share yours too and how you overcame. Someone might need it or find it useful.
Our generation is the most advantaged and disadvantaged generation. Both of them is tied to this social media. Anyhow, all will still remain good if we can find a balance and how not to get distracted by social media.

The right time

Yesterday I wrote about promises and the need to keep promises that we make. I wrote about the way people will see us when we fail to keep to promises made. It's better notto make promises than to make and fail to fulfill the promises made.

Today I'll be talking about doing things at the right time.
There's a popular saying that goes like this, make Hay while the sun shines. Because we're grown, we quickly understand what that statement is talking about. We already know that the statement is talking about doing things at the right time.
A very popular story been told as regards this statement is the story of the ant and the tortoise. It is told in that story that when the ant was busy tilling the ground and planting, the tortoise was busy moving all around enjoying. The ants came to advise tortoise on why it is important to work now but tortoise will not hear them. He ignore their advice and went about enjoying while the ants were working.
The time when people started reaping from the proceeds of their work, Mr tortoise never found any reason to work still. The ants were still harvesting till the dry season comes.
When the dry season came, the tortoise realized that the season of dryness was upon them. Food was not easy to come by. If you ever found food, it'll be very little. Only thlss that had worked in the time that food could be accessed had food in their various stores, and because the dry season doesn't just end immediately, everyone has budgeted the food into days so that the food will be available to the end of the season.
Tortoise went about begging for food but no one was willing to give any out because firstly, the food might not be enoughfor themselves and also tortoise ignored them when they advised him to search and keep food for himself. The latte reason actually infuriated others not to even pity him because they warned and advised him.
The tortoise had to stay with the food for that season in hunger and pain while the ants had enough food for themselves till the end of the dry season. After the dry season, the tortoise learnt that it's important to do the right thing at the right time.
From this story, we can learn that time is upmost importance. You can be doing a right thing but at the wrong time. That it is the right thing doesn't mean, you're doing it at the right time.
Everyday people do things at the wrong time. People fail to plan their time. Most people will even say they prefer to work under pressure, they indirectly justify their habits if procrastination.
Procrastination is a very wrong habit. It is not a good habit to imbibe. We'll hear people say that they did a good work because they did it under pressure. I believe that if you had done it at the right time, it would have been better than the one you did under pressure because you would have had the time to review and edit whatever work you had done.
You can do better when you do things at the right time. In whatsoever sphere of life you are in, whether as a student or worker, time management is an essential skillm to learn. Procrastination should be done away with so that it doesn't hunt you on a day it matters. You might get away with it but on a day it'll matter, you might regret it.

Keep promises
Hello guys, how are you doing today? How has today been for you? Today has been good for me. I'm trying to adapt back to the school rhythm. We just resumed and it's not easy adapting back to the school way again.
Yesterday I wrote on criticism. I wrote about the two types of criticism, which are the constructive and destructive criticism. These are the forms of criticism we have faced at one time or the other. I talked about how that it is good to learn to be a constructive critic and how to react whenever you're faced with a destructive critic.
It is best to learn and have the best reaction to destructive criticism so that you won't feel discouraged or down because of another person.

Today's article is a bit late. It's not easy writing articles these days because of the busy schedule and all.
Today I'll be writing on promise making. When I was younger, during times like this, I mean festive times like this. It is always a moment where we go from people to people asking them to promise us some things. Sometimes, even when those people do not want to promise us anything, we still keep on asking till we get the promises. Nevertheless, not everyone fulfill their promises. So, there are days we end up happy and their are other days we end up disappointed because the people who promised us some things have failed to fulfill their promises.
It's better not to make promises than to make and fulfil the promises made. It is lack o integrity on our side and also it's disappointment on the side of the reciever.
I'm sure we've all been disappointed at one time or the other. I know that you've been disappointed at times like that. It's not easy to be disappointed especially when it comes from the unexpected people. The closer they're to you, the more disappointed you'll be because of how much you do not expect it from them.
So many people are guilty of making and not fulfilling the promises made. This is a very bad one because it doesn't portray you well to other people. Keeping promise is an integral part of how integrity is built. The more you keep promises made, the more the people will trust you. But when you do not keep promises, they start to doubt you.
For example, a politician that when he was campaigning for his present position made promises. He told the people what and what he'll do when he gets to the seat of power. But he doesn't do any of what he has said he'll do for the people. When next he decides to contest for any other position, people will not vote for him or listen to his campaign speech because he failed to fulfill the previous promises he made to everyone.
Keeping promises is something everyone should learn to do. If you know you won't be able to fulfill any promise, do not make the promise. A promise is a debt, therefore do not acquire debt you cannot pay. What does this mean? Do not make promises you cannot fulfil because nobody will want to know if you could fulfill it or not. As long as you've made that promise, it has become a debt to you.

Criticism
Have you been critized? I'm sure everyone has been critized one way or the other. No one can say that he or she hasn't been critized. Criticism itself is not a wrong thing. Criticizing is to analyze or assess a thing in order to get its merits and faults.
The criticism you've recieved at any time of your life will fall in between two categories. They are the constructive and destructive criticism.
Criticisms are inevitable except you're perfect of which no one is. No matter how much you try, there will be a time where you're below expectations. Criticisms should be parts of a human life but only constructive criticism should be allowed.
Criticisms can either be destructive or constructive. It depends on the critic. Some people have gained mastery in giving destructive criticism. The only thing they do is to criticize people till they feel less of themselves. This is a very wrong thing to do.
Criticisms start from the family because they're the closest to you. They know everything about you, how you react, how you behave and others. The thing is that what outsiders may not see or know, your immediate family will know because they're very close to you. They know so much about you. Most times, criticisms from your immediate family is always out of love, therefore very true.
Criticisms done by outsiders are most likely done in anger or pain, therefore it can be classed as a destructive criticism. Most times those criticism do not cause any change in you, it only makes you feel less of yourself. This is the reason they tell people not to mind the opinions of people most especially outsiders. Because the truth is we have more destructive critics than we have constructive critics.
It takes a great level of maturity and understanding to criticize someone the right way. There's a way i criticize a person and the person won't feel less but not everyone knows how to. I've learnt that when you want to criticize a person or something. You don't just start of to criticize that person like that. You should first recognize and talk about the things that person did right before moving to the ones that need some changes. By doing this, the person realizez that you're not really against him and that you want the best for him.
Whether we like it or not, there are people who'll criticize everything you do, even though they are good. They'll still criticize. What do we do to those set of people? How do we react to their criticism? Do you allow their criticism get you? Do you allow it affect your confidence? Do you allow it make you discouraged?
You shouldn't allow them get you. You shouldn't even mind how much they criticize you. If you're not doing something worthwhile, you won't be criticized. So that they criticize you shows that you're making progress. Keep at what you're doing. Nevertheless, there should be a balance to things. There can be some element of truth in the criticisms of people. Therefore, sometimes you should look at what they say and not how they say it. Because you might be making some mistakes, it's just that they communicated it the wrong way.

It's another Sunday again
Hi, it's Sunday again. Happy Sunday to you. How are you doing today? Hope you went to church today.
I'll be sharing a short sermon with you. I hope you're blessed.
One of the verses in the bible says that there's a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof is destruction.
From the verse above we can see that there's a way that seemeth right. From this we can draw an inference that there are different ways. If there's a way that seemeth right but is wrong, that means there will be a way that doesn't seem right but it is the right way.
Man is known to be a creature that works with the brain and the mind. We're subject to the sensual realm, that is we're moved by what we see, hear, feel or taste. That is why most times people make decisions based on the outer appearance. This is why they always advise that we dress the way we want to be addressed. Because man is known to decide based on what we see, if you dress in a wrong way, it is most likely that we'll be addressed the wrong way. People don't have the time to start probing into who you are at their first meeting with you. Your appearance makes up 90 percent of how well you'll be assessed. This is to say that we won't always be correct with our judgement if the major variables used to judge is the external appearance of that thing.
Back to the verse again, there's a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end the end thereof is destruction. No one knows tomorrow is a popular statement made by people, but we unconsciously predict how tomorrow will look like using today as a yardstick. We also use our feelings sometimes to predict how tomorrow will go. Although it is good to do that, but most times it doesn't go as planned. This is one of the many ways that our capacity to decide right has been flawed.
The issues of life are so much that almost everyday it feels we have the need to make decisions. Decisions are part of human lives but there are some that are major decisions while some are minor decisions.
One funny thing is, that it looks small to you doesn't make it a small decision. Sometimes small decisions become a major decision after realization. For example, you've been at a place for a while, but you suddenly decide to go to another place, then immediately you left, an accident happened at that same place you were before. Now you see that as little as the decision to leave that place seems, it has become a great decision because it determines whether you'll still be alive or not.
Another example is the decision to change the bus you were meant to board for another bus, only for you to later discover the bus had accident. How great you decision had become with how insignificant it looked.
That something looks like a good thing to do doesn't make it the good thing to do.
Normally, your decisions will be flawed because you're insufficient to make every decision of your life. There's a God that knows all things. Why not ask Him to guide and direct your path. You can pray to God on what to do next and I'm sure that He's willing to guide you. Why make mistakes when there's a means to avoid the mistakes.
So from today, learn to ask God for directions aand guidance for everything you'll do. He's ever ready to answer you.

What happened?

These are the questions asked questions asked by Richard's parents after several attempts to help his academics have proved abortive.
Richard is a JSS2 student of one the private secondary schools in Nigeria. Richard is one of the below average students in his class. So many efforts have been made by his parents to see that he performs well in school. Unfortunately, all these have proved abortive.
Every of his class teacher has been forced to neglect him after several attempts to help him with his academics. His parents have hired lesson teachers to teach at home after school so that through this he would be helped. Maybe his problem was that he wasn't fine with the general teachings in the class. Or that he needed close monitoring and tutoring. All these were to no avail because there was no improvement in his academic works at all.
He was pushed from class to class till he got into secondary school. So many efforts have been put for him to become better but all to no avail.
Everytime Richard moved to a new class, his parents would have a meeting with the class teacher to explain their ordeal to the teachers in hope that the teacher would give them solutions to their problems. Most teachers had advised them to put in a private lesson so that he would be kept busy after school hours. This method had failed countless times but the parents still continued to fix him in a private lesson in hope that one day, he'll change.
But then, a change began to happen in the second term of his stay in JSS 2. He was beginning to improve in his academic works. His classmates at first thought it was coincidence when he was among the top scorers in one of the exercises they were given as homework. His parents also were surprised but as time went, they were getting used to seeing good scores in his notebooks. They were becoming excited. They were happy that their son was showing signs of improvement. But one person wasn't that surprised. That was his class teacher. The class teacher was the lesson teacher, but asides teaching him the normal school work. What else did the teacher do that has caused a change in the academic life of Richard? What did this teacher do that others didn't do? What did he know that other teachers didn't know?
The week that marked a change in the academic life of Richard was just like every other week. The teacher came to Richard's house to take him the private tutorial as agredd by the parents. The tutorial continued with the usual struggles of having to teach and not seeing the good results that should be seen, instead, there was failure. The teacher was already getting tired of Richard but because of the money he earns just to teach him, he couldn't stop. At least the pay was still good.
He was still seated when he began to think of ways to help Richard. He knew that tutorial classes won't help as it has failed countless times. He decided to put the tutorial class on hold to have a chat with Richard. He sat with Richard and engaged in a long talk with him. In this talk, they talked about so many things.
During the session of talking, Richard opened up to his teacher that he had always wanted to improve but he always feel discouraged every time he failed. Another time he was discouraged again was when his grade 6 teacher out of discouragement said that he cannot be great academically because of all the efforts that have been put in making him better. That statement had stayed with him till he had that chat with his teacher.
His teacher had to talk the wrong mindset away till he believed in himself enough. And from that day, he began to think differently. He now viewed himself as someone that can be the best.

Once upon a time, in an African village. The king proposed that a hall should be built in the village. The hall was to mainly serve the purpose of meetings and subsequently weddings or any other program as long as the hall is available.
The reasons behind this was because the only village that had a town hall was their neighbouring village which was far away from them. If anyone had anything important to do, they had to travel with everyone celebrating with them to that other village coupled with the cost of renting the hall and other designs that would be done.
Another reason was because of times when the people would choose to have any event in the open space because of the lack of a hall. The event ends up been cut short because of rain. So many events have been stopped or cancelled because of rain.
These reasons made the king propose that a hall should be built in the village for the purpose of town meetings, special programs and even weddings.
The king asked the villagers to contribute money for the building of the hall. Every family was given an amount to pay. People started paying the money but there were some particular set of people that refused o pay. Some said they wouldn't pay because they do not think building the hall will be necessary and useful to them. Some didn't pay because they were always hiding under the umbrella of no money. Some didn't pay because they believed they were being cheated and that not all the money that is gathered will be used to build the hall.
The king being a wise king didn't force anyone of them to pay rather he left them alone. The hall was later built. They had their town meeting in the hall. And in that town meeting, the king thanked those that made it possible for the hall to be built. He further said that every family that contributed to the building of the hall will be licensed to use to the hall for free anytime they have any event to hold as long as the hall had not been booked earlier. He now faced the families that refused to contribute, he told them that they would pay anytime they needed to use the hall, and also he added that they would charged as if they were foreigners. Those families laughed at the judgement until when one of them needed to use that hall for his child's wedding ceremony because rain had fallen and everywhere had been messed by flood and muddy ground.
He went to meet the king to ask for the price to rent the hall. He was surprised when he heard the price because he never imagined that it would be that expensive. He pleaded with the king to reduce the price. Unfortunately the king was not ready to listen to his pleas. The king even further told him to be grateful that the hall was not already booked by another villager, if not, his request would not have been considered.
He went home unhappy because the king didn't even listen to his request. He took time to think on whether he would pay the money requested. When he later decided that he would pay because the event cannot be postponed. He picked up the money and headed to the king's palace. On getting there, he brought out the money, but he was strck with another bad news. What was the bad news? While he went home to think about paying or not paying. Another villager that was among those that contributed to the building of the hall had come to request to use the hall on the same day with that man. The king granted the second villager's request already.
Therefore, the man couldn't use the hall for his daughter's wedding. They had to have the wedding in a very shabby way which is not even good to imagine.
