"Careful what you feed your mind, it feeds the heart and the soul – the body as well."

I’m no guru, nor do I teach the power-over-matter thing. Neither am I stoic, because I complain a lot! Hahaha! However, this I know… Whatever we feed our mind, it is captured by the heart and eventually nourished the soul. The body, unfortunately inherits it all.

The body is form right from the heart of the mind, all its well-being comes from it as the brain is essentially the very mechanism that controls the body. It follows the same principle, whatever you think, interests, desires and emotions just gets into your system.

Let’s get to the point. If you were the type who harbors a lot of anger or emotions, your body reacts. The 1st that reacts is the stomach. In the process, there stomach will be filled with acid affecting the lining. The stronger the reaction the powerful it is, the stronger the acid. Many result to hyperacidity and/or stomach ulcer. Some can lead to cancer. And more importantly, life is a living hell just for being angry so much! Leading to people to avoid you, and you’ll end up bitter, lonely and sad.

The worriers easily manifest the body and does easily shows. Especially excessive worrying can actually trigger physical illness, among the basic are panic attacks, insomnia, others to the extent chronic illnesses because it can trigger “stress response” which eventually will lead a whole lot more problems than you’d expected.

Ever heard of "Psychosomatic Syndrome"?

  • Psychosomatic disorder is a psychological condition involving the occurrence of physical symptoms, usually lacking a medical explanation. People with this condition may have excessive thoughts, feelings or concerns about the symptoms — which affects their ability to function well.

The more worry you become, the more unnecessary illness to manifest and even trigger heart diseases or depression, one illness leading to another – domino effect. To name a few celebrities with known anxiety problems? The net is full of their stories, one after the other. Top of the list is Oprah Winfrey.

Most of the time we feed our own demons, as to why, there are vast reasons to consider. Hormonal influx can be a culprit, past experiences/trauma can be too. That’s why there is a need for us to check closely what we think. Sometimes we already reach dangerous levels that we need to slow down and examine our thoughts. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to determine that we are already off charts! That our imagination really had gone wild this time, taking too much adrenaline or super hype for the time being? Sugar rush? Please pause a while and think. Keep it checked.

In the end, our body suffers. Whether it be psychological and eventually become psychiatric because we didn’t check. It helps to check and no to self-diagnose but consult with your doctor if its all too excessive. Get help the soonest to address and properly manage anything before it could lead to advancement. We only have one body, let's start taking care of it.

Exactly feeding for our mind is feeding for our thoughts. We should be very careful in this regard. I like positive ideas and like to feed them.
