Maximizing Your Potential and Turn It Into Purpose

There is no absolute time for someone to figure out their life's purpose. Some may find themselves finding out their life purposes at an early age when they joined a community and they felt at home and for some, they have already lived in their 60s and they ate still clueless about where their lives should be.

That just means to say that it takes a lot of experiences, courage, and persistence to discover more of yourself and fulfill your purpose. You know when you encounter a lot of trials, that's when you feel how heavy the agony would be but then if you were able to accomplish everything, it means so much more than self-fulfillment.

Is it something to do with happiness as well? Or you should think bigger than your own's happiness as that leads you to be open to the possibilities that you could do so much better than that? I mean, serving not just for yourself has this sense of fulfillment that you would really enjoy along the way.

There's so much pressure that we feel on ourselves to immediately know what our life purpose would be. It's common for young people to instantly establish a profile in themselves when in fact, it should be a process. It takes a lot of time, mistakes, and experiences to understand what meaningful life should be.

So, is it possible to turn your potential into a purpose?

Yup. It's possible. I firmly believe that with the innate potential that you have in yourself, it's going to be an exciting and harmonious journey ahead waiting for you.

To help us maximize our potential and turn it into purposes, we must:

Know our whys.

Discovering life's purposes shouldn't just be about yourself. You must establish a bigger picture of yourself extending a hand to other people or somewhat serving the community because that gives you a heavier motivation to accomplish what you are doing.

If your purpose involves people outside yourself, then you are on the right track. We are called to serve one another. It doesn't have to be necessarily joining the politics or joining a movement in the government. You can do things in your own little ways. That already contributes a lot.

Be resourceful.

Creativity doesn't have to be always limited to just one option. By maximizing your resources, and equipping yourself with great determination and grit, you are far ahead of those who choose to get themselves stuck in a situation.

Discovering a life's purpose is also about setting the proper mindset to fulfill a specific goal. When you are clear and so sure of your potential, everything will follow. The resources that you have right now are your companions toward achieving the vision.

Surround yourself with a community that shares the same purpose as yours.

It's great to find people who share similar interests as what you have. When you have them, it gives you a fuel that would definitely keep you going. There will be days that you don't feel like doing it anymore because of frustrations and you just encounter too much negativity within, but these people will help you out and will remind you that it is just a state of mind.

They help to bring out the best in you by challenging you to discover your limits. With them, it generates many ideas that benefit you by choosing a lot of options to keep you going. They will help you thrive through ups and downs.

Trust the process.

Oh well, this is easier said than done but we just have to trust and enjoy the process. Success isn't a success when you did not encounter a lot of trials through the journey. These struggles will shape you into who you become today and with that, you will realize how much growth you have achieved along.

It's hard to try again knowing that you have that fear of failing again but remind yourself that you are no longer the same person who encountered that monster before. You have equipped yourself with so much learning and maturity to attack the situations again.

We get discouraged and exhausted by these trials but what shapes and builds your character is your courage to try again. Moreover, I'm not romanticizing the pain we go through on these trials but once we surpass this, it's going to make a lot of sense. The decision that you make is the first step to success.
