Barriers to effective communication

The major barriers to human communication at the individual and organisational levels include: Limitation of the receiver capacity There can be serious breakdown in communication if the receiver does not have enough background information on the issues being communicated or if his cognition level is low. I this depends on his state of background information Noise This includes any external force which interfere with the reception of messages Misunderstanding The symbols the sender is using may have the same meaning for both.
