Serena Williams is one of the world's best female tennis player who revolutionized the game with her style of play.
She was born on 26th September, 1981 in Saginaw, Michigan, USA. She became a professional tennis player in 1995 after she was taught by her father in a public tennis court (in Los Angeles).
This was exactly a year after her sister Venus Williams (who started her career in 1994).
Serena won her first glam title in the US Grand open in 1999 instead of her sister Venus. Yeah, because a lot of people were expecting her as the first to become a professional to win the Grand Slam before Serena her younger sister. The two sisters teamed up for 14 Grand Slams doubles titles.
