Sajek Travel Diary - Day 1: Journey Through Rain, Cloud's and Mountain Our journey to Sajek began on a rainy midnight from Sayedabad Bus Terminal, Dhaka. I was traveling with my husband and two younger brothers, all excited and curious about the days ahead. Our bus departed at 12:00 AM, and it rained throughout the entire night. While most slept, I stayed awake — watching the raindrops race across the window as the bus rolled through the silent roads.

We reached Khagrachari around 6:00 AM, just as the first light of dawn gently lit up the misty hills. The surroundings were soaked in rain, and the green hills shimmered under the early morning fog. Twisting roads, distant mountains, and the rhythm of rainfall — it felt like nature itself was welcoming us. After arriving, we freshened up and had a warm local breakfast to energize ourselves. Then we hired a Mahindra jeep to head toward Sajek Valley. Around 7:30 AM, we began our next leg of the journey — because by 10:30 AM, all vehicles have to pass through the army and BGB security checkpoint to enter Sajek. At the checkpoint, all passengers were carefully registered by the army, and vehicles were lined up for a convoy system. It took around 30–60 minutes, and once cleared, all jeeps moved together. Army vehicles led from the front and rear, with us travelers in the middle — making the ride feel thrilling and safe at the same time.

By around 2:00 PM, we finally arrived at Sajek Valley. We had booked our resort in advance, so checking in was smooth. After a quick fresh-up and a hearty lunch, we headed out for the most anticipated part of the day — Konglak Hill. 🏞️ Exploring Konglak Hill: Konglak Hill, the highest point of Sajek Valley, was nothing short of magical. As we climbed higher, the clouds seemed to touch our faces. The wind carried a soft chill, and all we could see were rolling hills and waves of white mist below. The view was surreal — like standing at the edge of a dream. We spent the late afternoon exploring, taking countless photos, and simply soaking in the beauty. As the sun began to set, the clouds turned golden, and the air grew quieter. 🌙 Evening Vibes in the Hills:

We returned to our resort around 8:00 PM, tired but deeply content. The evening was spent in our own little celebration — playing music, laughing together, and enjoying local fruits like pineapple and mango. With the cool mountain breeze and the night sky above, it felt like time slowed down just for us. Dinner was served by 10:00 PM, and soon after, we went to bed early — because we had to wake up at dawn for something very special: catching the morning clouds. 💭 Ending Day 1: > Our first day in Sajek was a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and quiet joy. From the rainy roads to the clouds of Konglak — everything felt unreal yet unforgettable. And this was only Day 1...
