@J.Matty more from that month

Are you saved?

Will you go to Heaven when you die? Are you a good person? If you think you are, I have a few questions for you; Have you lied, stolen, used God’s name in vain, or lusted (which Jesus said was adultery, Mt. 5:28)? Who taught you how you told your first lie? Who taught you how to steal i.e take something that does not belong to you? Who taught you how to envy? Who taught you to fight those who offended you when you were a child, and even now? Who taught you to be wicked, to keep malice and hate those whom you feel are not good? Who taught you to be selfish? Who taught you to use your tongue to insult others, backbite? You will realise that nobody taught you these evil acts. You find yourself expressing this nature when you're tempted or when you desired to act, and If so, it is proof of the very nature that all humans are born with; a sinful nature. "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3: 23). "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners..." (Rom. 5: 19). Every human being received this sinful nature from one man, as the aphorism goes, "Like father, like son". God sees you as a liar, thief, blasphemer, and adulterer at heart. If you die in your sins, with your sinful nature, you will end up in a terrible place called Hell, separated from God, our Father in heaven. Why? Because our sinful nature is contrary to His nature. God is Love while we are selfish. It was not the nature of God we were born with, it was a sinful nature that resulted from the first man's disobedience. But there's good news. Though we broke God's Law, Jesus paid the fine by dying on the cross: According to God's law, there can be no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood, that is why God, our real Father who is willing to forgive us decided that someone will die for all humans. "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (Jn. 3:16). It is those humans who will admit that they are sinners that will see the need for a saviour, and that is what God wants you to know now. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses. This was God's way of telling the world that whosoever admits that they are sinners, have a change of heart and mind and turn away from their sins, confess in repentance and embrace Jesus by putting their faith in Him will not die, but live forever. Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies of the promised Savior. Please, today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will forgive you and grant you the gift of eternal life (Eph. 2:8,9). Then, to show your gratitude, renounce your idols, your ungodly acts, go and restitute, forgive all those who have offended/molested you, those who have caused you terrible pain (for God has forgiven you in Christ), let the prostitute destroy her instruments/wares of prostitution, let the thief go and apologise to those whom he has stolen from and if he is able, pay back what he stole, read the Bible daily and obey it, pray daily, join a Christian church, be baptized and be discipled. Do not be eager to join an arm of a work team (choir, ushers, protocols, etc), sit and learn the way of the Kingdom, grow in Grace for at least two years.

*"One man disobeyed God and many became sinners. But in the same way, one man obeyed God and many will be made right. The law was brought in so that more people would sin the way Adam did. But where sin increased, there was even more of God’s grace. Sin once used death to rule us. But God gave us more of his grace so that grace could rule by making us right with him. And this brings us eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."* Rom. 5:19‭-‬21. *Happy December!* written by J.matty
