How do you fry your chicken, eggs and plantains?

You guys should give me hints on how I can fry without wearing my jacket as bullet proof against the splashes that's comes out from the oil, lol. I've always hated frying. Apparently I will soon be living alone and I will be craving for some of this fried delicacies. Please live a comment on the technique you use in frying??
