Money: What Can We Say About It?

What is Money? The quick answer that might suffice is: Money is a medium of exchange. That means in order to get a material thing we need, we pay money to get it.

If you understand this definition very well, it means that anything that we exchange for something we are in dire need of, is termed “money” For instance, if someone exchange some tomatoes for a cup of rice, then both the cup of rice and the tomatoes will be referred to as money. How interesting!

The owner of the tomatoes needs a cup of rice and the owner of the cup of rice needs some tomatoes, so an exchange or a transaction occurs-Remember the old “trade by barter” system. As a matter of fact, the trade by barter system is still respected today.

Think about it!

If you have cash in your hand, say $50 for instance, and you really want a hamburger and some coffee at an eatery, the eatery needs cash to stay in business while you the customer needs the hamburger and the coffee to stay refreshed, and so a transaction and an exchange will take place.

Also, it may interest you to know that it is fair if you say that money in itself is an illusion. It has got no intrinsic value! The value there is in money is the one that we attach to it.

Money takes the attitude and shape of its owner.

Money brings an illusion and deception that contradicts reasoning.

It brings a sense of self-worth that isn't real or sustainable. It makes you feel important than - important than others.

It makes you feel bigger than life itself that is why at the presence of money in our hands we get tempted to break laws and principles and in the end we end up broken.

Does money really answer all things?

I know for sure that money can’t bring the dead back to life and money itself lacks the capacity to heal hurts. Then why do we praise money like it has no limit.

Of course money can do a LOT-you read that right, A WHOLE LOT but today we talk about it like it’s the answer to all our problems.

Some couples think the presence of money make their marriage to be free and very far from divorce but unfortunately seven out of the world’s richest men are divorcees.

Again, What then can we say about money?

Money is a tool. It awaits the instructions of its owner. Money can be used to do both good and evil, however, it doesn't mean money is evil.

Don’t get it twisted! Don let anybody feed you with that hogwash about the total sinister motive of money-That is not enlightenment, it is solely limitation coming from a mind of lack. Like I said money takes the shape and sole directives of its users.

If money in your hands is a tool to do wrong then you are the wrong person in the equation not the money you are having.

Every culture has something they either consciously or unconsciously worship. For some its sex, others money.

Both phenomenon are not evil in themselves, in fact they are good but you see man has a freewill to either alter the original intention of a thing or leave it that way for the greater good.

Unfortunately we love to alter things from good to bad. This alterations I wonder whether it can be resolved in the near future.

PS: Please let your money make someone smile this Christmas. Please do well to give towards a charitable cause and lets the average man on the street smile this holiday season. Peace!

Thanks y’all for reading!

See you on the next one!
