Chrome Users get Bitcoins for Viewing Ads Brave popularized the concept of rewarding users in cryptocurrencies for using their browser, resulting in an increase in its user base. Now a similar feature can be added to many browsers, including Chrome, which will allow you to earn bitcoins. Startup team Adtech Slice today announced the integration of bitcoin payments into its browser extension to pay users in cryptocurrency for viewing ads while browsing the Internet. The free Slice extension is compatible with Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and even Brave. The enhanced extension is based on technology from Zebedee's Bitcoin payment solution, which uses the Lightning Network for BTC micro payments. As users browse the pages, they will see additional advertisements inserted on the pages. Viewing them will earn users points called Slices, which can later be exchanged for bitcoin in their Zebedee account. As for Brave users, they will be able to simultaneously receive rewards in Bitcoin (via Slices) and Brave’s native token called Basic Attention Token (BAT). This will double the amount of crypto rewards in exchange for viewing more ads. Do you trust it? Seems like a bit too much of permissions. I havn'et read the Priv. Policy yet though
I am very careful about the privacy policy. But somewhere we have to compromise. I have done a lot of research and I have not found any user saying that there is any change in our browser settings after installing it.
Same here. I also read the reviews and got convinced that it's not more of a threat than my others extensions. So I'm using it now
