Pink Rain Lily - This is one of my exotic flower in my garden collection. It takes time and I need to wait patiently for its underground bulb to start flowering. I bought 20 bulbs each of white and pink rain lily and planted it almost 2 years. This is the first flower of Pink Rain Lily of my 2 years labor of love to enjoy its beautiful flower. Pink Rain Lily is native to North, Central and South America with scientific name as Zephyranthes Rosea or its common names as Rosy Rain Lily, Rose Fairy Lily, Cuban Zephyrlily and etc. This perennial turf grows in an outward spreading grassy foliage from a bulb with reddish skin. The flower of Pink Rain Lily will open in flat shape during the midday and close in the afternoon. So sad that this beautiful flower will last only a few days It is typically for flower of Pink Rain Lily to emerge after its bulb enjoy a rainfall for several days.
