The weather is chilly in the morning, despite the bright sunshine. This morning, I spent time in my garden clearing all dried and dead leaves from the Winter Melon, which is reaching the end of its season, in order to facilitate the growth of my Snake Guard. Snake Guard is one of my favorite vegetables, which I enjoy eating steamed or in a hot spicy curry. It is a creeping vine with lovely white flowers with long lacy fringes on the five petals.
