Eggplant Flower - This Sunday I can not enjoy my walk around my property as the rain started since early morning. The weather is quite gloomy dark with rain. In my backyard garden, the eggplant flower started its bloom. Some eggplant blossoms are drying out as lacking of natural pollination. Sometimes the stress from strong heat and weather conditions caused the eggplant plant to dry up and drop of without producing any fruit. The pollination of eggplant is only pollination by wind without any help of bees or other insects. If the weather condition is excessively hot, overly humid and over wet so there will not be any natural pollination. I am so in love with the eggplant flower as it is in star shaped in different shade of purple. Eggplant is our common vegetable for my culinary. We eat it as a fresh vegetable or use it as vegetable in variety of curry menus.
