Women’s life in the Society

We live in a male dominating society but when we talk about women issues and women rights, we are called feminists. We don't want to indulge ourselves in a debate of feminism or empowerment because the need of an hour is beyond comparison but one of the important reasons of lack of equality are men and whenever a woman experiences harassment at any level by men, we are pursued to talk about them as well. Women don't need any favor from men, they need equal rights that are already given to them by Islam i.e. respect and protection because this protection and respect can give them all the courage they need to grow. For instance, men can roam on a road at night but a woman will think hundreds of times to step out of the house at night for grabbing a pain killer from the nearest medical store. Why? She is not afraid of the dogs but men. If a woman rewinds her life, she will be able to find plenty of experiences where she was harassed by men and it is not only a story of a girl wearing western dress. Even the house wife would have experienced harassment by men. How many times a man would be harassed in his life? Women don't need sympathy, they need empathy for a safer life. Stay safe. Stay sane.
