My dad treated us a dinner the other day at a noodle place called SRK Borneo Noodle House. They serve East Malaysia noodle dishes. I ordered their set meal promotion which includes a bowl of noodles and a drink to go with it. I ordered their Kolo Mee with thick noodles and each bowl of noodles typically come with minced pork and some slices of pork with spring onions as garnish. The meal also comes with a bowl of soup with meatballs. The noodles were good and the taste pretty decent for the price point. For the set meal, the bowl of noodles is a smaller portion compared to if you'd order the ala carte. They are both the same price but the set meal deal comes with the drink. So if you don't want the drinks and want more noodles, go for their ala-carte. We also ordered a bowl of their wantan dumplings which were really delicious. Highly recommended. My dad also got a dessert bowl of chendol which featured the native Sarawak sugar called 'gula apong'. Its a palm sugar which is lighter tasting compared to Gula Melaka. I personally didn't like it as I prefer the Gula Melaka version but if you want something lighter tasting, you might like this chendol. Overall a decent place to have a meal with decently priced meals and taste. #food #foodie
