Had a potluck at a friend's place a few weeks ago. We celebrated 3 of their birthdays which fall in the same month. Sometimes although there were a lot of food, these blogs are harder to write as I don't know what ingredients and how the food were cooked. Anyway here's what we had: - Potato Salad & Shepherds Pie One of my friend made these 2 dishes. The potato salad was creamy and the shepherd's pie was nice and moist. It had mash potatoes and parmesan cheese on it which made it extra flavorful. - Gyoza & Meatballs My friend who was the host made this. She hand pleated them and made the pork filling from scratch. She even made the black vinegar and ginger dipping like you'd have at a restaurant and it paired really well with the gyozas. She had leftover pork mince filling so she made meatballs with them. Doubling up on a same ingredient making 2 different dishes. - Chicken Chop & Brown Sauce Another friend of mine made these boneless chicken chop with her thermomix. The chops were a little overcooked but the brown sauce was superb! One of the best brown sauces I've ever eaten if not the best. I got the recipe from her and will try to recreate it soon and without using a thermomix 😄 - Filipino Spaghetti Me and my wife made Filipino Spaghetti. Recently had it at work where my Filipino colleague cooked it for us. I got the recipe from him and made it for the potluck. My first time making it and I think it was maybe just above average. Could have been better which I'll definitely make it better the next time around. The kids did love it though so I guess it was a successful first try. We also had cake and some soup. A festive meal celebrating birthdays together. #food #foodie
