Hello everyone , Content: Survival Food Embutido or Philippine Meatloaf Lately I am so busy formulating a survival food. Yeah, the ingredients prices just spike up and every dish is so limited to work at. So I try my best to do a survival food wherein it is affordable and long lasting. While, the taste will never change even I have putted it in the freezer. I considered also the quality of being good taste plus nutritious. This is Embutido a dish that is like a sausage but the difference is that it is wrapped in aluminum foil and steamed. At first I thought it will be costly but then It caused me only five dollars in total with ten pieces yield. The steaming part is also a plus for me you just need to boil some water and then taddahh that's it. You can also make so many dish originating from dish like for example, is I peeled two small potato and sliced some of the embutido that acts as the meat balls and that makes another dish. So the one piece of embutido will be enough to be share in a family composed of four with the addition of rice. One way to easily re heat it is that when you are cooking rice and the water is reduced you get a small bowl and put the embutido that you need to reheat coming from your freezer. This will be the total breakdown of the needed ingredients: All purpose flour 2 cups ground Pork/ meat half kilo 1 piece raw egg raisins in small box Small carrot Banana ketchup in small bottle 1 onion garlic pickles 1/8 kl. sachet size of cheese salt and pepper to taste aluminum for wrapping the mixture Approximately five dollars in total, makes 10 pieces. We also steamed okra to add to our table. You can steam any vegetable that is available in your area. Happy eating.
