Stay still, let them pass and we will continue on our way- My brother whispered to me, when we saw the shadows pass about 20 meters from us when we went out to look for some artifact to repair. I was a little scared, but I was surprised by their presence, because they don't usually walk during the day, and less in the ruins of the buildings in the east of the city, where years ago the great battle was fought. Perhaps they are adapting to sunlight, something that we thought was impossible, since the light always repelled them and we used that against them, but with this our way of life would change or many lives will be lost.

Upon arriving at the shelter, we reported what had happened, but incredibility overwhelmed our words, we tried again and again to convince people, but who was going to believe a couple of 12 and 14 year olds. John my brother, Alex our childhood friend and I secretly decided to carry out an exploration tomorrow in broad daylight, but we would take one of the old video recorders that were in the warehouse, to record a possible encounter with the shadows, that way We would have enough evidence to show them to everyone, especially the council of the grandparents, who were in charge of every aspect of the shelter, especially security, they say that they fought the shadows in the first years when the great phenomenon occurred.

THE next morning, at approximately 9:14 am, we slipped away without anyone noticing. We decided to go to the old shopping center, surely there we could catch one of those things.

But sadly that was just the past, because now everything is a desolate and apocalyptic landscape, it's gloomy to look at the stores and see everything still in its place, expensive brand shoes, elegant clothes, jewelry, everything covered with dust and cobwebs, like if someone had never come.

With great caution we continued walking and exploring, but without any success, apparently the shadows no longer came here. I think the fact that the humans stopped coming made this a place without food for those things.

Several hours passed, and we decided to return to the shelter. As we walked, we ran into the video game and arcade store, where we came countless times and enjoyed each machine. Alex was excited to see the store, I think his emotion was somewhat exaggerated. He began to walk around the store, touching each machine and pretending to play on them. Jhon told him that we had to continue, that they must have already noticed our absence in our cubicle, but Alex continued playing very gracefully, and when he got on the last machine. that of driving a motorcycle, behind it an Unfortunate shadow emerged, he destroyed the machine instantly, and before he could do anything he grabbed Alex and vanished along with her.

My brother and I ran away terrified and crying, and when we got near the entrance of the mall, several shadows came out, blocking our only exit. Trembling, Jhon took the video camera and began to record, I did not understand, but I think that this way our words would be verified in the video along with our tragic deaths.
