We're in a parallel world and I'm sure of it Cutting my workday short. Yes, you read that right and I'm admitting it. It's not like I never do some extra work, it's just that I recieved so much today. I've had this job for three months now and I got around the code a bit. Today I got to write unit tests, I've never done that before on a system I still have to constantly read the specs for to make it more interesting. From now on I'm programming in Java also, so a new language (and two projects that come with it). I'm supposed to learn as I go. OK, that I can handle. I'm supposed to prepare new versions. I'm a git noob and from now on I'll be doing that for the main project as well. What wierd parallel universe was I sucked into today? In the morning I was a pl/sql developer and 7 hours later I'm deep into Java and deployment, writing unit tests by the way? What just happened?! I'm not even going to show you my cup of #coffee.
