Anti-social or not
For the past two weeks, I’ve been at home due to the ongoing strike by the university staff, it’s always been my phone, laptop and I. even before I got to know about readcash or noisecash, I’ve always been that way. I prefer to stay indoors all day and go out with friends only on Sundays. I’ve got a lot of friends, it’s like I make new friends every day. It’s so easy to make friends but when it’s time to go out for a social gathering, I do find a way to evade it. Just a certain clique of friends can make me go out and these are my classmates from high school.
There’s a thin line between being a party animal and a party hater, I think I fall on this line. I don’t do bad at a party, I groove and have fun with the rest but I still feel I’m not getting to the climax like others. Some certain people prefer to keep it simple, not that they are shy or toxic, they just love keeping small company.
Yesterday, my parents challenged me and asked why I haven’t been visiting friends since I got back, it’s been my phone and maybe calls from a few friends and my project partners. I laugh it off and replied that I’m not just in the mood to socialise for now. My Dad jokingly replied by saying I’m “antisocial”. I smiled and said to myself “only if this man knows who I am in school”. A few minutes after he left, I couldn’t help not asking myself “I’m I truly anti-social?”. though I know my Dad was joking, I decided to accommodate the thought for some time.
I went online and here was what I got-
Anti-social beings - Their language is very different from yours and you can't just joke with them. They become defensive when you put some sarcasm or poke fun at them.
You know these people. They are what we call an antisocial group. This is a new way of community where people come together, mostly like-minded people, to share their experiences, thoughts, and build a supportive community.
The above doesn’t fit me in any way. In fact, I love Sarcasm and hate rolling with people with zero sense of humour. I’m that special friend who will never let you down and is always there for you. I’m a person who prefers to keep it simple but do not misinterpret that for being shallow. I think my ways can be likened to a child who loves playing around in their own imagination and does not mind being alone at all. Study shows people that who act this way are considered to be the most imaginative when it comes to storytelling and plotting things out.
I’m the kind of person who does not hold grudges against anything or anyone.
I tried to find a word that can be used to qualify people with such behaviour but I couldn’t get the right one. Maybe if I’m the type that believes in Zodiac signs I will find a category to place it. I’m not a fan of people claiming that behave in certain ways simply because it’s their Zodiac sign. Instead of working on how to be better, how to stop being toxic, they expect people to accept them for who they are sign it isn’t their fault but the fault of their Zodiac. How Annoying and illogical it is.
The advantage of keeping a small company is that it means less headache. More friends mean more problems, but when you have a small company you have lesser worry.
When you are selective with your company, it means you are your own friend and you are your own competitor. It means you will have lesser headaches in the progress of your company. You can manage your company very well without the disturbance of too many people. We should learn to live with ourselves, enjoy our own company if we would like to achieve success in anything we are doing.

I'm actually anti-social but I love keeping friends. It depends on your definition of friendship though. To me; knowing people and the vice versa of it is actually cool. One; can't tell who would refer the person to a big client tomorrow. Friends should be less but associates or known people should be quite on the high side.
Lol, I'm just saying; I can literally count all my friends.
