So yesterday, the update was put into effect by the read.cash team and i spent the entire day just observing the changes it took on everyone. For the communities, i observed that a lot of moderators really did lose motivation with this significant change and much more so with the users who had fully hoped to make some extra here. The screening for each article grew stricter as well but with that change, i actually appreciated it. The quality of the article to get a pass will hopefully improve over time. It's troublesome to have to go through so many quickie articles just to find the few good ones I'd actually want to read. Although I do hope i don't come off as rude but a lot of people really just post articles for the sake of posting and never really gave it any thought or grammar check or anything. Hell, there are even ones with nothing but jumbled up letter and nonsense that still gets posted and that in itself is such a huge way to disrespect people who actually try. So i hope this change in the point system doesn't get everyone too down. We should adjust because in the end, we all like to write. We all enjoy sharing our thoughts and experiences to people and speaking out through comments when we can hope to relate or help. It shouldn't matter if it gets paid or not.
This may seem a bit too much of a say from a newbie who had hust appeared three days ago but even so, i came to enjoy my time here because i was never someone who posted on my personal social media accounts. It was only here that i managed to share the things i hoped people would appreciate and in vice versa.
I feel you girl. I don't really post on social media too so this platform has help me a lot to express my thoughts. The updates has its pros and cons. I'm also just observing for now so let's hope for the best. 😊
