It was four years ago that the biggest event in our lives happened. An event that happened once in a lifetime only. This was the time that the two hearts were made to be one. Like two different roads diverged and ended up leading the same direction. For the four years of togetherness, we are not exempted to face lot of challenges, conflicts, misunderstandings, troubles and any problems that usually happen to a couple. With this short time yet of staying, this period is still a time of adjustment for both of us. Inspiring Messages Way back four years ago, during the homily of our presiding priest, he gave us some important reminders. First, marriage is not a competition. He clearly explained that a couple should not compete with each other. He cited lot of examples that could possibly happened to us. One of those is like competing everyday for who worked more. Second, marriage is a commitment. He emphasized on the marriage promise that till death do us part. Whatever happens, we should remain faithful to each other, build trust and keep all the promises made in front of God in His church. Lastly, marriage is more on giving and not on taking. Simple celebration Every year we used to celebrate this remarkable date in a very simple way. We opt to celebrate it with our little family preparing some foods to be shared together and that's it. This year is a very special one not because we have prepared a very special celebration, but because it falls on a very special day, the Easter Sunday. We started our day early as we attended a mass and we spent half a day with it since the mass ended at exactly 12:30 in the noon. It was very wonderful spending time feeding food for your soul. The most crucial shall I say it is to quench our spiritual thirst than any other thing there is. We have celebrated our special day with the Lord partaking his body and blood as well as introspecting with his words.

We took our lunch in my mother's house. Then, after few minutes, we went to neighboring town to celebrate our wedding anniversary in a simple way. It took almost half hour going Baybay, Leyte City. As usual, we entered into a mall and my wife bought two pieces of Turk while I was ordering two cups of buko juice. We ate together and planned where to buy a toy car for our little Cana.

Before we went to another store, we dropped at Goldilocks to buy a small cake which is good for my family only. We bought also polvoron for my mother and for my sisters' families. The gift

Instead it is us who will receive any gifts for our anniversary, we bought a toy car for our little baby. We worried for baby Cana for how many times she fell into the ground when her brother saw her driving his toy car and quickly pulled it. ______________ Final Thoughts A special day like wedding is worth to be remembered. Be thankful and grateful to God for preserving our marriage with His love and mercy. We need His spiritual guidance in order to overcome some challenges that we meet along our ways. We pray for all the couple that they may survive the responsibilities entrusted to them by God and they may responsibly perform their duties towards their families. We pray also to all who are planning to engage into a serious relationship that they should think many times to come up with a good decision. We'll pray for all the victims of broken family especially the children who affected and suffered most that in God's way, that the couple would realize themselves that they have promises to be made and accomplished. ______________ Thanks for reading!
