While object of 19th century novelist is to create memorable characters,to point a moral or to adorn a table, the modern writer's chief concern is to find out exactly what people are like to record his discoveries. His purpose is psychological research, he wants to get all that there is in any individual and in conducting his researches he discovers, what ofcourse is obvious that human beings are not simple ,far less simple in fact than the characters in Victorian novels. Well defined characters in victorian age were either good or bad. Even if the good and bad characters were mixed up in certain characters, they could be classified under distict catagories. While the purpose of modern novelist is to present the life as it is. The sole aim of modern novelist is to get the objective truth and to analyze the motives of the characters. Modern novelists represent life with alss his complexities. Relations between man and woman is also analyzed from purely factual angle of vision. In short theodern novel is short,complex,an realistic while the victorian novel was simple and straightforward at the cast of reality.
Humanity:
We all are human beings and we all want to help one another. Human beings are like that we all want to live by each other's happiness not by each other misery. We should not hate and despise one another. In this world,there is room for everyone.
The way of life can be free and beautiful but we all have lost that way. Greed has poisoned man's soul. Greed has barricated the world with hate.
Modern mechinery has left us in want. We think too much but feel very little.

Science, True Human Happiness, and its disadvantages:
We know that the modern age is the age of science. The mechines play a very important role in today's world. Two or three generations ago, the lives of our forefathers were comparatively simple and satisfied by manual labour while people's wants at the present day have multiplied and our lives become complex nowadays.
In the worlds history if the 18th century was an age of steam then 19th and 20th centuries have been an age of electricity. Nowadays modern railway train are electrically controlled, only in underdeveloped countries the railways are still controlled by steam. One of the greatest blessing of science is invention of rapid means of travel and transport. Journeys that previously took months, nowadays take a day.
The means of communication too have greatly progressed like telephone and telegraph, etc.
The advances in the field of medicines are also remarkable. Plastic surgery and the art of fitting artificial limbs to the human body has also considerably advanced. The conquest of disease is one of the greatest achievements of science.
The post modern age in which we are living nowadays is the age of factories. Industries of all kinds are working by the means of scientific mechines.
The means of entertainment too have increased by science like the invention of television, radio etc.
Few thinkers who condemn science:
There are few thinkers who condemn the science. For example M.K Gandhi, the great indian seer and politician, condemns the application of science for agriculture.
In my point of view mechines have made the man corrupt. We should not forget the destructive side of science. The havoc that the atom-bombs caused to the Japanese cities of Hisoshima and Nagasaki is yet alive in the memory of the world.
In short, we can say that science has shaped and moulded almost every phase of social activity. But it has a dark side also..
On the day of Arafah, Allah the most exalted, descends to the nearest heaven, and He is pleased with his servants on the earth and and says to those in the heaven,"
LOOK AT MY SERVANTS, THEY HAVE COME FROM FAR AND NEAR WITH HAIR DISHEVELED, AND FACES COVERED WITH DUST , TO SEEK MY MERCY".
Life And Goals:
Life without goal is nothing as goals are the source that mark the right path and right destination for a person. In my view the best possible way to achieve the goal is to think about the suitable plan of action. First we need to determine what actually are our endeavours and then write them down. Writing them down on a piece of paper will be just like inscribing them in subconcious and ultimately we get more conscious about our achievements.
We know that setting a goal is neccessary in life. And also we should work hard to achieve that goal. Because without goal life is nothing.
TYPES OF GOALS:
There are two types of goals:
Long term goals and short term goals.
SHORT TERM GOALS are something you want to do in the near future. Near future means a month, a week, a day,while
LONG TERM GOALS are something we want to achieve further in the future. Long term goals require time and planning.
Death and human life:
Practically all the progress that man has made is due to the fact that he is mortal. He has recognised that he is in this world only a little while and this knowledge been good to stimulate him to make diligent use of whatever talents he is edowed with.
Because man is subjected to death, he has made fullest use of his facilities and has extracted from nature his secrets to make life bearable if not to conquer death. Our parental instincts are strengthened by death.
If there were no death, we should not care so much to have children to preserve the human race from oblivion. All our instincts and emotions are re-inforced by death.
A man may love his books but the love he bears to his wife, children and his friends is something deeper and mkre sublime, because this love is purified by the thought that human life is finite thing. How different the world would be without children.
Death ennobles and sublimates human affections. Love for relations and friends is deeper than the love for material things because the thought of death increases it.
Newspaper, the way of education, its use and abuse:
We know that newspaper is essential part of our daily life. No literate person cam do without a newspaper these days. As it contains tremendous amount of news of every country and every clime that's why the first thing one does in morning is to seize the paper and glance through ita pages hungrily. Newspapers keep us in touch with the entire world and make us aware about the events. Every movement of armies, every military plan, every battle lost or won is better decribed in it. Besides these informative characters, newspapers possess some litrary values also.
Literary page of the newspaper contains:
1)articles of the well known writers, contributions by great man,
2)book reviews by able critics,
3)poems and short stories are also part of literature which are present in newspaper.
But how most of the people read newspaper? Most of the people read the newspaper only as a source of news. They pay very little attention toward literary portion.
Reading English newspaper, one cam improve English reading and writing skill also. We must get the fullest benifit of literary portion also.
A Patriotic newspaper will makes us nationalistic soon. It creates direct contact between leader and the nation. Public can also expresses their views in letter to editor which are published in newspaper so newspaper serve as mirror of public opinion.
It is a source of advertisement so it also promotes business. Businessmen can advertise their good in newspaper and thus reach their customers. Sometimes however vulgar and indecent advertiesement are published that is improper.
Educational influence of newspaper is also great because Reading English newspaper improves English vocabulary.
ABUSES OF NEWSPAPER:
At the same time newspapers can do a great harm. Some newspapers lower their moral tone in order to appeal to the low sentiments of readers.
Further more, each newspaper is attached to a particular party so it takes usually one-sided view of every matter thus encouraging the party bitterness. Some newspapers are doing great mischief in many countries, containing poisonous propaganda.
In short we can say that newspaper also has educatinal advatnages but some disadvantages also..
TRUE MEANING OF ALHAMDULLELLAH:
A person who says "Alhamdullellah Rabbil Alamin" utters words which are creater than the whole universe. This is why according to Hadith," The word Alhamdullellah is so heavy that it fills up the scales."
Alhamdullellah Rabbil Alamin is a truth creater than the heavens and the Earth but merely reading lip service is not enough. When one says Alhamdullellah, it should be an utterance that subsumes one's entire being, absorrbs one's entire personality and includes all of one's emotions.
According to Hadith,
"The best servents of Allah Almighty are those who praise God the most".
The universe is one being. Everything and everyone is inter-connected through an invisible web of stories. Whether we are aware or not, we are all in a silent conversation. Don't harm. Practise compassion. And we should never gossip behind anyone's back. The words that come out of our mouth don't vanish but are perpetually stored in infinite space and they will come back to us in due time. One person's pain will hurt us all.
HOW TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE:
Humans are not made of stones. They are open to influence. A human being is a creature who keeps changing. His future is different from his present. This reality must always be kept in view while dealing with a person. Insisting on instant change produces arrogance.
Don't waste life in fear. If you want to do something. Do it with all your might and confidence. Nothing great can be achieved with fear and doubt. We should always believe that we can do and we can achieve our goal.
Freedom is not the absence of commitments, But the ability to choose and commit yourself to what is best for you..
FRIENDSHIP, A SPONTANEOUS GIFT:
Friendship is a sponstaneous and springs from no conscious choice. It comes naturally and is not the result of deliberate forethought. Those who set price on friendship have no friendship to give because their motives are selfish. They aim the personal gain in some form or the other and their chief concern is to benefit themselves from the friendship of others. They fail to realize that in friendship, ot is more worthy to give than to recieve. Also we should let our inituitive power guide us in choosing friends instead of allowing selective consideration to intervene. When slfish motives predominte, friendship is bound to fade.
As we know that a friend in need is a friend indeed. Friends always feel for each other in every situation of life. Good friend is the precious gift.
PURIFICATION OF THE MIND:
Everything in our life starts with our mindset first and our actions second. Our actions follow our ideas, beliefs and thoughts to make a shift. First start with getting our mind first and then take actions. Purify our mind of all kinds of bias and negativity. God loves those who purify themselves. We should develop ourselves before death. After death there is no possibility of development because There is standstill after death. So we should remove all the negativity from the mind in order to develop our future.
FOCUS ON OUR OWN MISTAKES:
If we face any kind of undesirable experience from another person or group, we should not register directly our complaint against him, we should rather try to find out our own weaknesses that give the other person the opportunity to overcome you. It is futile to indulge in complaints and protests. The only right thing to do is to engage in re-plan. By self correction we cam regain the target we want to achieve.
All human beings are liable to err. To be at peace with oneself, the realisation of the fact is essential. Humanity is faced with numerous struggles and difficulties. We should view our own problems as a part of universal struggles and brace ourselves to meet every difficulty with fortitude. To be frantic and desperate on such occasions cannot help the situation. Friends can be helpful in such situations but human wisdeom has its limitations. Faith in God and prayer to Him have banished melancholy from hearts of many people. It is at the moment of crises that person's true worth is put to test.
