Do you still have mortar and pestle at home? It's an old tool made of stone and use for grinding spices for cooking and others. It's called 'almires' here and my mother is still keeping it. And this made my work easy this morning. My mom ask me to peel some garlic coz she will cook chicken arrozcaldo again. I'm tired of sweets so I prefer this kind of food. So I found the mortar & pestle and pound 3 heads of garlic. The skin easily loosen and remove, then I crushed the garlics so quickly, better than using a knife. Our arrozcaldo is ready with stir-fry garlic toppings. Let's eat po.. Good Morning..

The garlic looks crunchy, I love adding garlic in my meal. This morning we have arrozcaldo too. Thanks for sharing and have a great day 😚
Oh yes we still have. My mother use it everytime theres a big celebration. 🙂
Yes, better to have this one when you have a lot to peel and crushed..
We no longer use that sis. Yung speedy chopper na de hila ang ginagamit namin pero ako gusto ko magkaroon niyan.
I have never had a mortar and pestle. I was married for almost 35 years before I ever even bought a spice grinder. I never used it. My late husband wanted one to he could make his own blends.
Technology is not as easy as it used to be, and we know that we have a lot of work to do all the time.
Yes that pestle and mortar have a great purpose in cooking. We don't have that in ou home but I'm wanting to have one cause it looks like you've enjoyed using it hehe
I remember I saw this back 2 years ago I think when my grandma's house is renovating. I'm just amazed by it. But I don't know where is it now.
I would love to eat arrozcaldo now that its cold! More garlic will make it smell good.
