'Lelut balatung' That's how they called it in Pampanga, others called it 'tinotong' or simply a 'ginataang munggo' This is my first time to try it. Usually I only cooked 'ginataang mais' and this time I want to try using mung beans. This is one of my favorite dessert that my mother always prepare during my childhood and up until now whenever we see each other. And I said to myself that I must give it a try too and introduce to my son. And it was just easy to cooked. Same process with ginataang mais except for that the mung beans should be toast and cracked it. And I use a mug as an alternative for the rolling pin to crack the beans. And here's the result, our Friday 'munggo day' entry.. My 'ginataang munggo', made with glutinous rice cooked in coconut milk, sugar and toasted mung beans.😊 Can be serve hot or cold with coconut milk toppings😋
