Friday Art Day Painting is really fun for kids especially when they are using variety of colors. Last time they paint about Filipino traditional attire of man and woman, and today for their practical arts they drew and paint an 'ati-atihan festival' In ati-atihan festival, a group of 'Ati' are wearing a colorful costumes and their faces and body is painted also with different colors. They parade and dance in the streets during the festive. And it is usually held only in certain province like Aklan. So for these kids who cannot always witness different kinds of festival, atleast in their art lesson they develop their awareness of the indigenous people's cultural identity, lifestyles and attire through painting. By the way my son's painting is just simple. He just finished it on time and submitted already. Have you ever attended any kinds of festivals?
