Weeks ago I would never Agree that food calls The smiles I would Never deem Happiness A cold racist For I did Sell a thought that Happiness is a choice Apologies world! I know better now I understand Why the hardly giggle To the funniest joke That swayed by And became timid Melancholy’s all of the sudden ‘’The future is bright’’ But now is rugged Yes there’s no guilt in hope But hunger flashes Help your neighbors For the hunger might be flashing In their homes You may never know
