The electricity went off at 06:00 this morning. Apparently, it will only come back on at 20:00 tonight. The parastatal company is apparently doing much-needed maintenance/upgrades to the supply grid (which they should have done at least twenty years ago). While I'm pleased the work's being done, I'm not thrilled that it limits the amount of time I have for getting my work done. I've got maybe four hours in which to make maximum use of my laptop. Today is definitely going to be a book-reading and clothes-mending day.
