For a while, I've been struggling to figure out why, despite working so incredibly hard for such long hours, I wasn't making enough money to see me through to the end of the month. Tonight, I sat down and did some calculating (all while experiencing a raging headache, no less). Starting with how much I need to make each month and then working back to how much I need to charge per day and per hour, it turns out that I was charging half of what I should have. D'oh! I feel like an idiot. I need to write down these figures somewhere so that I can refer back to them later and not make the same mistake(s) going forward. #money #work #income #freelancing #idiot
