Yesterday, the bananas were green. Today, they are overripe. THis reminds me of the cartoon in which a guy buys green bananas from the store, but they're brown and rotten by the time he puts them in the fruit bowl. I can't for the life of me remember if it's from American Dad or Family Guy (I always conflate the two) and I can't find a clip for the life of me.
