I didn't feel fear anymore, I didn't feel anything. I was 36 and had two children, ages 11 and 8, and I was ready to die. Still, I didn't, but my neighbors did. The whole family, adults and children. In Surdulica, which was called the Serbian Hiroshima, the Home for the Elderly, the hospital, the pavilion with refugees from Croatia were also bombed. Thirty-three people were killed in those attacks, of which fifteen were children. In relation to the number of inhabitants, Surdulica had the most victims during the NATO bombing. I will never forget them. And neither will those who bombed us. What was the people guilty of? Imala sam 36 godina i dva deteta od 11 i 8 godina i bila sam spremna da umrem. Ipak, nisam, ali moje komšije jesu. Cela porodica, odrasli i deca. U Surdulici, koju su zvali srpska Hirošima, bombardovani su i Dom za stare, bolnica, paviljon sa izbeglicama iz Hrvatske. U tim napadima poginulo je trideset troje, a od toga je petnaestoro dece. Surdulica je u odnosu na broj stanovnika imala najviše žrtava tokom NATO bombardovanja. Nikada ih neću zaboraviti. A necu ni onima koji su nas bombardovali. Sta je narod bio kriv?
