I would like to share some thoughts here... So few weeks ago, my supervisor recommended me to apply for the next level position.... During the interview my Manager asked, "What preparation did you do prior to this interview?" I replied,"Oh well, I made sure to check the data given and so I can answer the questions that'll be thrown to me". Then he said,"No no no I mean how did you prepare yourself?". I was like,"Hmmm, I asked my colleagues if they see me fit to the position and had a talk to my Sup so I would know what did she see in me to recommend me to give this a try". Then my Manager said,"You mean to say you needed a push in order to apply or give something a try?" I got dumbfounded. He then continued,"When we apply for something or aim for something let us learn to believe in ourselves and not wait for other peoples validation because at the end of the day, it is to our selves that we can only count on".... 🥹
