Words that Work
In today's article I want to talk about the importance of converting NEGATIVE LANGUAGE to POSITIVE LANGUAGE and also its impact. CRITICISM Oftentimes we encounter people who loves to correct us. Be it because of concern or just because they are being perfectionist. But I would rather think they are being concern, yeah? When we criticize it is important to use words that will not make the subject feel bad. Of course, we all have the chance to do better so let us not be that someone who ruins a persons self esteem, confidence and courage. How can we do that?
****Sample Scenario 101**** For example, if your colleagues in the office may look like a "CHRISTMAS TREE", for wearing very light colors not suitable for your age, position and location then instead of mocking the person talk to them privately. Normally you would say,"Hey! The color of your dress or skirt is not good to look at. Better change your style girl!". Nah ahh! That should not be delivered that way, why not say,"Dear, I like the color of your skirt but better if you pair it with a plain blouse. Also, you will be more stunning if you wear heels. Promise! Are you free on weekends? Lets invite our colleagues too in Mall, I also know a place where we can buy cheapest fashionable office suits. I feel like playing dress up!" Well you need not to do the strolling but if you like better so you can get along. Now how does it sound? You agree it is a lot better yeah? **Significance of turning NEGATIVE to POSITIVE LANGUAGE** Well at first it maybe hard to think of anything positive in replace to negative words but you really need not to replace every negative word on earth Dearie. But trying won't hurt. GIVE OPTIONS Other than replacing negative to positive words we can also give options instead.
****Sample Scenario 102**** ****A customer who can't pay her bills.**** Normally we say,*"No no no we need the money. You used and benefit with our product so pay it".* But since we have to negotiate. If you say it that way your customer might not pay you at all. Instead, we can say,*"I totally understand how you feel coz I also encountered pretty ! much the same. What about we do it by installment basis? Or we can advice a promissory but please make sure to honor this so in case the same situation happens we can always grant it for you".* ...end thoughts... **"No man is an island"** We have to work look after one another. We need other people to survive. Admit it or not, you may feel alone now and think that you can do things on your own but haven't you tried to ask a direction? Ask your colleagues help whenever you get confuse? Images source: Unsplash Yey! Another article done! Thank you for reading and not getting tired of supporting me. Sorry if I had to get my pace a lil bit slower. I had so much in my plate for the past few days. (༎ຶ ෴ ༎ຶ) But I will be fine. Gotta reply to the comments on my previous article later I have to take a nap and work after 2 hours.

I picked up something vital here. I have ways been concerned about other's people's emotions so I refrain from saying something negative. I always find a way around making them know and not make them feel bad but this is a new one for me which is, we need to give them options or solutions which would enable them to see things the way we want them to see it.
