Sometimes I wonder If I am the only one that calls someone I just met “Buddy or Friend and other sorts of abstract names” after forgetting the name they just told me. Haha. Am I the only one who does this? Does this mean that I am dumb and forget things very fast? There was a time I got introduced to an older vendor who we wanted to give a job too. We shook hands when we first met and exchanged names, he went to check the job out then came back to give me his thoughts. He called me by my name and when we were done with the meeting, he turned to leave. He had walked some distance, say (20 meters) when I realized that I haven’t told him about when he should come start the job. It was embarrassing to run up to him and I couldn’t call back his attention by hissing as this would have been rude since he was way older. I ended up calling him “Daddy” out loud. Haha. He turned and was surprised. He smiled then walked back to me. At least, he wasn’t offended. We had our discussion and after he left, I remembered his name. Good day to your noisers? What’s up?
