I admire people who read and finish books in few days, but 🤦🏻‍♀whenever I try it, I end up reading only the introduction and at most, chapter 1. Then I just never go back to the book. For me, if I don’t finish a book at initial pickup, I might never go back to it. It's worse if I cant relate with what the book is saying. The problem is not about the availability of books that pick my interest, but the fact that I haven’t been consistent in meeting my reading targets for some months now. When I was in session, I blamed it on assignments, term papers, projects and all. I just don’t know how people keep up with their reading commitments. I started watching a series on Netflix almost the same I started reading a couple of books and after a week, i realized that I spent approximately 44 hours on Netflix compared to 5 hours of reading in that week. Well, if you are also having this dilemma just know that; You might not finish a book in a set time, but have it at the back of your mind that you'll keep reading it..
