Family Love Unity: My kids' Homeroom Guidance My son and I were talking about family the other day. Our kids deserve to know what's the real meaning of a family. A family consists of a father, mother, and son. However, this type of family does not exist in all families. We have a Neutral family, extended family, grandparents/grandson family, single-parent family, and so on. But no matter what kind of family we have, as long as there is love and unity, we can call it a true family. One of the most important characteristics that a family should have is unity. When there is unity, there is cooperation, love for one another, and most importantly, respect for each member of the family.
